you can probably sit with 100 in white and keep a hundo on the table (or in your pocket)...if you like having a lot of chips in front you, then go nuts.

Most of the players bought in for $200 at a time. There were a couple who just came with 100 and had cash on the table.

this was definitely accurate on Saturday! will be there next weekend playing again!

Heh. Heads up. Already making me want to go back to the Borg.

Too bad this special ends July 5. I can't make it down til at least the 11th, and only then if I can find a good deal on a room, and find out how much the Academy actually costs from Grand Central. I want to stay for the weekend again!

One of the things I've learned from 2+2 is that 5/10 is no where near as good as 4/8 in terms of generating action. It makes sense because a 4 chip / 8 chip game is going generate pots of way more chips then a 1 chip / 2 chip game.

I even think red birds should be banned from the 4/8 tables.

last time i was at the borg some ppl tried to get a PLO8 game running, but it was closed like 5 min in (well, changed to LO8 or PLO or something)

any reason you can't run a PLO8?

So I'm staying at the Taj (after busting out of the Borgata Poker Open event today) and I head down to play some 2-5. There are only two tables, a long wait with the incompetent floor staff, and both tables are nitty and terrible.

Hmmm, I should probably go over to Borgata, where I know there will be a good game running.

But alas, Borgata is far from the comfort of my hotel room, what if I go over there and the game selection is disappointing. Won't that be a drag?

I better just log in to twoplustwo and browse the poker forums instead of playing actual poker.

But what's this! Stan has just posted a listing of all the games that are running at Borgata right now. And there's 11(!) tables of 2-5 no limit that are sure to be juicy. What good fortune have I tonight.

Off to the Borgata I go.

1-2 plo. sucked. been on a ****ty run of cards the past two days. took a nice hit tonight, still up nicely for the month though. really am liking that game, much better than 1-2 or 2-5 nl.

I got the Monday - Thursday comp offer, first time in about five years of playing at Borgata.

I got one day per week comp, Monday through Thursday.

I didn't get anything. Does this mean I don't get free rooms anymore? There is a very good chance one of my roommates just misplaced it...

Only got the Sun thru Thursday offer. Though have moved since last address is wrong.

Maybe will update and see what else comes

Got my free room offer, but not by mail. When I called for the Izakaya reservation for the end of the month, they informed me my address was not updated when I moved in December, although my wife's address was (I thought I had updated, oh well, it's fine now).

I was able to see the room offers (and comedy club tickets) online at "My Borgata Rewards". Still, using the wife's craps comps anyway, I'll use mine enough this summer...
