It's really disgusting and uncomfortable to have to escape from the restroom because some obnoxious smoker enters a stall nearby. If even once a smoker received a penalty and it were publicized, people would think twice before smoking in there.
Are you the guy who was in the high limit room a few weeks ago telling the story about how he slapped the cigarette out of some dude's mouth in the bathroom?

No, but I know about that incident and that was what I was referring to.

I had no idea that there was a problem. I will meet with security next week to discuss the problem.

Stan,

why do so many of your dealers shuffle the chips in the pot? i think its an awful habbit, most likely picked up dealing the tourneys, but it almost puts me on tilt when i see it in a cash game. is there anything you can do to prevent this?

thanks

Agree with this, to a certain extent A lot of the players that are in the game have trouble figuring how much a bet is when someone bets pot, or if their is a random bet and then a pot sized bet. With everything the dealers are doing, I can see how it may be difficult to get the correct bet size right away.

I think if they need to take a couple seconds to figure the amount of a pot sized bet, that's fine. The problem is when they don't know how to correctly figure the bet amount, like just counting the pot after a pot bet and re-pot.

I am a hard core dedicated smoker and this makes zero sense to me. I've seen the butts and smelled the smoke in the men's room myself and although it's much more annoying to a non smoker it actuallt ticks me off as well because I'm the guy rushing to his bathroom break AND smoke break the way you are supposed to.

I would love to hear from someone who does this and have them try to explain what possible justification they make for doing it. Let's look at what our options are here fellow puffers...

OPTION A - Sneak smoke in bathroom
Smoke really fast in stall of men's room surrounded by non smokers who will scream bloody murder when they see/smell the smoke coming from your stall.

Have your smoke with dudes to either side of you paying the price of all that rich casino food they have eaten.

Come out of room stinking 10x worse than if you were in a more open area and pizz off the non smokers at your table even more.

OPTION B - Leave poker room
Smoke at the station just outside MurMur and depending on what time it is take in the eye candy. Even if MurMur is not open for sloots there are always plenty of young ladies walking about at B.

Go to the racebook room. No sloots but you are still inside and can watch a race while you puff puff puff like the magic dragon.

Go ten steps further and you are outisde! Playing poker, sometimes for a long time, it's nice to step outside and clear your head mix a little fo that disgusting FRESH air with your nice clean smokey air.

There's more than enough hate going around against smokers as it is and these people just add fuel to the fire IMO.

Glad that your not the only person annoyed by it, or glad your not the only dealer that does it.

Is the 2/4 LHE game going 24/7 during the week? If not, how early does it usually start. Thinking about doing another AC 2/4 LHE donkfest, trying to plan ahead as Borgata is always the first stop.

Stan, is there any way to get hours credited for yesterday's play. The system went 'down' and I had to skate before you all fixed it (assuming it has been fixed). Otherwise I've lost 10 hours.

Not looking for you to provide the solution, just a point in the right direction.

If the game doesn't make it through the night, it is usually going by 10am.

Take about 2 minutes and look through Stan's previous posts. He has been listing the number of tables running at each limit almost every day

I was there when that guy was telling the story too and IMO the smoking is a big problem. There are some regulars who won't use the poker room bathrooms on tourny days because of all the smoke.

Lived in AC for 3 years. Moved to vegas and let me tell ya vegas poker sucks. Borgata has the edge in look dealers waitresses game selection action tables tournaments sit@gos and rake. Try dealing with a 6 dollar rake in vegas on 1-2 @ 2-5 nl games. Yes this takes place in all harrahs casinos. Bellagio and Wynn have no cup holders yes appreciate cup holders and you are elbow to elbow at nine handed tables because they squeeze in 10. Waitresses are terrible bellagio dealers suck. Comps are almost non existent unless you want to tip at least 5 dollars to get a 15 dollar food voucher from a snobby floor man. The vouchers are good at some crappy cafeteria style place. 2 dollars an hour are offered in binions which has cup holders but the worst cash games in town. God i miss borgata. Tournaments in borgata kick any vegas tournaments ass and you cant find a single casino that offers a sit@go. My advice for borgata players play sat and sunday am at 7. All the players left are either tired drunk stuck or all of the above. Get a good 6 hour nap eat at the met and take advantage of the situation. 10-20 holdem can be played in the am in the high limit side which is so much better than the regular room. Appreciate where you are because i wish i had stayed.
