If so, is this something that you would consider doing in Borgata tournaments? For me, it makes sense. Many players don't know if they should tip and, if they should, how much. Doing this would make it easier for everyone and would ensure that tournaments dealers would be properly compensated for their time.

Obviously, it's important to ensure that withholding money from the prize pool for dealers is stated clearly in the tournament details when/if it is done.
what a great idea! the dealers deserve it. if i know stan he'll get it done. and yes it is allowed in NJ by every casino. all they have to do is submit it to the casino control comission and it will get approved within a month. it would be great if they can get it before the tourn in january..

Well, PCG didn't get off today. It was called - five showed up and as usual, one or two wouldn't play short. Sad.

The room was pretty dead overall. We did have two 10-20's going, though. Pretty soft.

If I end up coming down next Saturday (should know in a day or so) I'm willing to play as long as there are 3-4 other people willing to start shorthanded saying their coming.

If I'm down there I don't want to leave a good NL game just to sit around and find out the game's not starting.

I send this. I'll be in Friday for the triple stack. Would rather play cash on Saturday, so I'm down for PCG short-handed if necessary. I'll be there.

Would be nice then there would be a better quality of tourney dealers 3% to them is good.

If that is the day after Xmas - I'm good. Every year the girls head out to light their gift cards on fire that day and I take that opportunity to go to the Borg

Meh on the 10-20. Game was ok. I started well, but ended up stuck a half a stack or so. The last two hours I was a dead seat. Posting blinds and paying time Fortunately, we did time pots. Best thing that happened to me was that I won a pot that was $5 short of paying the time charge. Yawn.

If the room is so dead, how did the BBJ jump from 49k to 117k so quickly?

Z...The higher stakes games at Borgata are as follows...

10/20 5k cap
10/25 and above are uncapped so yes, it is very common for these games to play this deep. If you are used to online buyins of 100BB it seems a bit strange but it's pretty standard in these games.

I realize this is probably been said a thousand other times, but I couldn't find it on this thread. Does anyone know the number to call for the Borgata weekday poker rate and what the terms/price of it is? I'm thinking about coming down tomorrow night to play some 10/20 limit since i assume pink chip doesn't go on weeknights. Much thanks in advance for any help.

I'm playing at the borgata tonight, I'm in town for 2 days but with the exception of tonight I won't be in the poker room too often. If any 2+2ers want to say hello I'll be happy to Tuesday evening.

Is it possible to spread a 10-20 LHE using pink chips? The idea of a 4 chip - 8 chip structure betting would induce a lot of action. I know that the 25-50 LHE at Hawaiin Gardens in LA does a 5 chip - 10 chip structure (which is unheard of) and that game is action packed!

This is why the 5-10 Omaha should be pink, which also accommodates a choice of half-kill or full-kill.

I'm rather curious, do coins count wrt cash plays?

I ask because I've taken to using a gold coin as my card protector and I'm somewhat curious if I'd be forced to bet it at its face value. I assume coins don't count but I do remember seeing half dollars in the rack downstairs. There was a thread here a couple years ago about someone invoking the cash plays rule and forcing their opponent to put in a stack of silver dollars (I don't remember where that happened). I'm mostly just curious as I use a foreign coin to sidestep the whole issue (I can't remember the last time I was all-in anyway).

coins in the rack downstairs were for ow limit stud games iirc.

In no limit, cash doesnt play,so the coin doesnt play of course.

In limit, which is what u play (right?), im not 100% sure but i would say it doesnt. But, even if it did play, if the face value of the coin(s) is less than $5, it doesnt play anyway.
If you happen to have a US coin/coins with face value over $5, and some douche tries to make you put them in (and floor enforces it), then replace the coins with some pocket cash and put the cash in.

Im pretty sure though that coins dont play because technucally the dealer is supposed to convert the 'cash' to chips and i dont think theyre going to put coins in the drop box.

Even if you never find out the rule for sure, you still wont be putting your coin at risk if you keep using it.

(i understand ur using teh foreign coin)

Thanks, you too! How did you end up doing?

Let's hope the mixed game goes the day after Xmas. If not, we have to try to get the PCG off the ground

It's going to happen since I will be there all weekend with a special guest from pokerstars and staying at the Borg Sat night. I'd like to get a HO game going since I think E part doesn't get all the chips spewing. I already got u and Todd on my radar.
