Games were good this weekend (and I ran hot ldo).

Fun 2/5 hand from Saturday:

Asian girl who seemed solid opens to 25 in MP, I raise to 75 in the cutoff with A

, all others fold, she calls. Effective stacks ~850 or so.

She bets out some weird small amount like 30 or 40, I raise to 110, she raises 200 more on top, I think for ~10 seconds and push for ~400 more, she snap calls. For some reason I'm 99.999% certain she has A

anyone play the 20/40LH during the week? is it worth playing? I play 5/10NLH about 28 hours a week (im quite lazy) but its seems the monday and tuedays have been slow to the point that i want to play something else. 2/5NLH and 10OE are just a headache.

It goes more than you think. It might get going late at night when one of the 40's changes over. It might not last as long as it used to but i was say it goes about 70% or more (weekends). A lot of the players that played that game five years ago are now playing 5-10, 10-20 and 10-25 NL. These guys are still in the room, they just changed their game. I am happy though to see the 40 game back and strong. Not as strong as it was but in this economy, It's very good. About a month ago on a saturday night we actually had (3 40'S and (1) 80 going at the same time.

Thanks to all that have posted remarks in regards to the live game reports. Just wanted players to know what's going on, that we are still busy, the tournaments are very strong, and to let everyone know the different types of games that we noramally spread.

Prob a dumb question here... but, in no-limit cash games are the pots raked that don't reach a flop????

I only ask because this past weekend when i 3bet a pot at 1-2nl and then took in down preflop, the 40+ dollar pot was raked 5 bucks, 4+1 badbeat jackpot. Since i very rarely play live and usually play online, i questioned the dealer whether or not this was correct and he said it was and then the whole table looked at me like i was stupid. The one guy was like LOL of course they rake it. Either way, seems really dumb to me, but maybe i'm just used to playing online/

I think the matching bets are raked, but if there's no flop, there really shouldn't be a BBJ drop.

But I've also seen where if there is no flop, there's no rake at all. It's very inconsistent.
