I'm sure there is a min for cutting a check. I've never heard of a poker player requesting one except in the case of winning a tourney. If you ask for one at 1k I think they'd probably laugh at you (after you left). Personally I color up to 500/1000 chips and just carry those.

Just got back from an 11 hr session in which I quickly dropped two buy ins during the first hour (~$400 at 1/2NL). Was in the red up to the last hour when I picked up KK and got my chips in with two others on a Kd5h4hJd8c board, both players having flush draws. After that big pot, I was more or less even for the session, went to Harrahs next door, logged 3 hrs of blackjack and then left. As TAB said, Borgata was booming over the weekend.

Coming down Sun 4/26-wed 29th ... Since it's the beginning of the week I'm guessing I'm gonna find a fishier 1/2 2/5 NL crowd at borgata since it's just a bigger room than say Showboat.

Opinions ???

For 2/5NL, most other rooms in AC have trouble even getting a game going at all during the early week.

This. Instead of the Showboat, your other best bet might be Ceasars (if you choose not to go to Borgata for poker).

There were a ton of tables running this wknd. Last time I was there on a Saturday it was 4 sharks desparately trying to get a 2-5 PLO game going. This time there was a must move game and unreal crazy action. Grats BBJ winners on the 196,000 btw.

I was at that table... I sat down about 20 minutes before the bad beat. The guy with 9-9 limps and lets the guy with 5d3d stay in the pot (thankfully).

BBJP was 196K.

Hadn't been at Borgata for several months but I too was surprised at how busy it was.

I had folded preflop and was not paying full attenion so I am not sure about the exact beting but to the best of my recollection it went something like this:
