Planning to go down for the black chip bounty tournament tomorrow. Never been. What is it like? Size of field? Level of play? Payouts?

Anyone playing in the $1M guaranteed event in September? I think $350 buy is worth for a shot. I think it may turn out to over 3000 runners.

Small bad beat was hit twice Sat night. First AJ full house lost to AQ full. Then quad sixes lost to straight flush.

And inside half an hour, at two adjacent 2-5 tables. The first one has to have been the quietest BBJ hit ever. I was across the aisle and heard them talking "That's the jackpot, isn't it? ... Wait, no, is it? ... etc." and then nothing once they figured out yes, they had it. The most noise they made was a quick round of applause for the dealer when she finally pushed out an hour and a half later.

First hand of this past week's Wed. 15K guar. at roughly 300am: was dealt a clearly purposefully folded As. Got up from seat and notified floor who told me to tell dealer. Notified dealer right away, was given option to play hand, folded, and pointed (the face down) card out. Dealer checked cards, and only replaced the As. Asked players to "play clean." She then placed newly cleaned deck into shuffler and dealt one hand of the other, presumably clean, deck without checking it. Upon completion of hand, she checked it after handand then requested two new decks.

I don't play that often (which is probably why I bypassed dealer) and am wondering whether this is common.

Should I have played the hand? (don't recall position)

I've heard a lot of tales of marked cards in late night games but it's caught fairly frequently and dealer handled it well. I've been in a game where cards were getting marked only once.

Yea the one last week was quiet too, a small round of applause, seems like people are not too excited for $2,500-$20,000.

They're just acting like they've been there before. Unless I was hammered I'd probably react the same way.

Well, I never heard of marked decks at the Borgata, I cover my cards when I get them. But I have been at "other" places where I felt the dealers were dealing from the bottom of the deck but couldn't prove it, nobody can loose to a one or two outer so many times in a row!

And even had an incident were I thought they were going to kill a guy for bring in his own red and green cash chips... He doesn't go there anymore... LOL!!!

Other than the gray chip incident I never heard of such things at the Borgata.

Free parking two times a month, just hand the guy in the booth your card, he will swipe it. If you have a black card, you get free parking anyway.

The parking fees started with gov. Mcgreedy BTW, FYI...

That is what we called him in Woodbridge, when he was mayor...

Talked to guy at the table, he got comp room online, just logging and looking, all he does is plays 2-4 limit.
But he comes for years, lives close by.

You park at Revel and get to Borg how?

I use Jitney, just because I love the beach and walking. So it's 4.50 round trip on Jitney or 5 parking, since I don't have black card yet.

Not sure if Revel has better security, it's next to the city but they have pretty active bike security biking around every 5min or so.

Well, that's different. Wish I had thought of that.
