40/80 limit called new game in the not high limit area. One game of 20/40 with 18 on the list.

Yes there is a Winter Poker series going on, but I miss Stan.

Based on my experiences this weekend so far, I ve come to believe tournament players playing 1/2 are just as bad as other players at the 1/2. Maybe just bad slightly differently. Oh and they know more poker words. Cash games during tournaments are great!

Yes, maybe you should play some 2-5, the fish are bigger. 😀

I agree...had a field day there Thursday night. Couldn't get a table Friday so I drove to Sugarhouse.

Went to Borgata over Christmas and enjoyed myself. Hadnt been in a while so didnt get great rates but they were ok, and 2+2 FAQ said that if you put in some modest hours youll start getting offers...

Didnt play a ton of poker, maybe 8-12 hours over 3 days, but mostly because I was dragged over to the degen side of things with all kinds of casino war and craps and whatnot with the wife, which id figure if anything was better for my offers. Got a mailer saying I was being offered comped rooms sun-thurs, go check my account to see that not only am I not being offered comped rooms any nights, but also that saturdays are $350+ every weekend. Its like they are pricing it to discourage me from giving them my business, I mean who would pay $449 to stay in AC? that seems like insanity.

Offers on the website update Tuesday afternoons. The mailer might be early.

I get weekend comps, but I've noticed lately that when they're not available free the prices are pretty un-special. $369 Borgata/$569 Water Club for Sat 2/10, for instance.

Reserving rooms as early as possible (three months or so in advance) usually works out well for me. I had a reservation for 1/25 - 1/30: comp, comp, $99, comp, comp. Unfortunately, I could not make there, and I needed to cancel.

I don't have twitter but I'll make an account if that's the best way to talk to them. What user name would I search for to contact?

I'd like to apologize after reading the CCP guidelines.

On a general note, related to staffing decisions at Borgata for cocktail waitresses (and waiters?) I found this interesting.

I like beautiful women bringing me drinks as much as the next guy, but as patrons we should probably consider the real life impacts these policies created for us have on real life people, trying to stay fed.

I think we could start by letting management know that we don't care what the cocktail servers look like. We just care whether they're efficient. And I guess some people would care also if they're friendly, but to me that's just a bonus.

I was at a crap table at the Showboat in AC years ago. They had the ugliest drink server I ever saw. But the server was really good.

It was a male server!

I don't know what the situation was, but it was the only time that I have seen a male drink server in a casino.

They have a lot of them at the Rio during WSOP. Poker room is mostly dudes, at least give me a woman for the cocktails. But at the very least I get to use my often used joke when I need a drink and they aren't coming around that often. I inform the table that I need a man in my life right now.

There are male servers in both baltimore casinos. I think they don't get anywhere near what a female server would get in tips, let alone a pretty female server, so I think the focus is on the supply of potential servers, not the demand of poker players wanting a certain server.

This reminded me of the time I busted a tourney at the Rio and walk over to the casino side to sit on a slot chair and be sad. At that moment I discovered that the Rio makes the male waiters get up on the stripper pole platform to dance & sing just like they do to the female waiters. That's when I realized the Poker Gods have a good sense of timing & humor.

if that was in reference to what was discussed previously, it was purely HR issue and a big one

MGM does not play with this stuff

Just an alert but as of last week the hotel's cancellation deadline changed. Instead of 9PM the day prior to one's reservation being the last point to cancel, you now need to give 48 hours before 4PM on the day of your reservation to not accrue a cancellation fee.

Wanna throw in my 2 cents about the quality and diversity of beverage servers in A.C. The Taj had a half dozen or so male servers from the day it opened.
