I'm here today, first time. Was at Commerce last night both decent rooms (though the Cali rake drop is super annoying).

Games are incredible. Small sample size obviously but 3 tables across the two rooms and 12 hours so far, every hour ridiculously juicy.

I've never seen a table game and poker mixed though, like with the $1 progressive jackpot bet on the board here lol

I've never heard of this either, and I have played at all the LA rooms. Must be something new - I am curious about how it works.

So there's an optional sidebet. It's a $1 chip placed on a marker on the table (every seat has one).

It pays out based on the board. No flop is no action.

Then there's a (ridiculously vigged) payout table based on flop being a 3 card straight or better (though think straight actually less likely than a flush so it pays more).

Flop a mini royal It's like $300. If full board runs out a royal flush they win the jackpot which varies by game stake from what I understand (like $30-200k or something). Don't know if it's progressive.

Imagine having that sidebet out and board showing four to a royal and someone folds the turn for like a $5 bet into $500 lol

They weirdly allow 3 way chops preflop here, not seen that anywhere I've played regularly.

The room organization is pretty chaotic too. Think maybe that's just LA poker though as Hustler and Commerce were similar

With a drop it makes sense to chop 3 ways.

They still take a drop even if it's chopped.

It's also just a mechanic I've never seen

The drop is (much) less than if there is a flop.

So what is happening with tournaments at the Bike? Their much-loved daily Quantums never came back post-Covid, and now the summer series — something that ran last year — isn’t going in 2023. A major loss to the LA tournament scene.

Anyone have info on poker player room rates at the Bike? Who to contact? Planning to grind there in a few weeks
