No it's not hard to get a seat. Pay your money, go take your seat, there will be plenty. Don't know how many people, probably a couple hundred. Lord no, the field isn't tough. It's just a daily donkfest, nothing special.

@eco74 thanks for the response. I'll probably give it a shot today.

Any general summary on how payouts usually work? Like arohnd how many players will they start chopping the prize with? And about how much per person roughly?

First time to LA, and I have a question about discounted room rates or poker room rate, do they have any of these at the bike? How much? how to get them?

Poker atlas states "Discounted Hotel Rates" with no further info, and the only information i could find here is about 25% discount for card reward holders? is this still valid, and is there any status required or just registration?

Thanks for you help.

I have not stayed at the hotel myself but pretty sure you pay about $120-$140 a night with players card.

You could call them at 800-781 2456 i am sure they can clarify.

Hustler game is much juicier. Bike games are full of nitty prop players.

Hustler 5/5 1k max is low-key probably one of the best MSNL games in L.A.

Going to Vegas in September, is the Bike worth stopping by (Im landing in LAX), how is the games there compared to the rooms in Vegas. I pretty much only play 1-2/1-3.

Yes.

In my experience the Bike has the worst games in LA. If you're only going one place, I would go to Commerce. Hollywood Park is also right by LAX.

Someday, when someone asks or answers the "how are the games" question, I hope to see some details on what exactly they mean by "how are the games."

I think usually when someone asks that, and it's about 1/2 or 1/3, they want to know whether the games are loose passive, crazy loose, or nitty, on average. Like on a scale from nitty to 2004 Party Poker action, how are the games?

And they want to avoid the nitty games because they themselves are a nit and don't know how to beat nits.

At least, that's me, going to the Bike, tonight.

Beating nits is easy but the problem is they will rarely if ever give you a big pay off. Most of the money gonna come from milking a dumb whale when he has a hand not worth stacking off with, but does so anyway. The EV of playing vs nits is much smaller even if it's still very much there

Are there 10/20+ PLO games running during WPT in Bike or LA area in general?

They've changed it now. All yellow chip games now earn $3 per hour flat rate.

I was in there a few weeks ago and was told about the $3 per hour too, but thought it was only for food? Can it be cashed out instead? And if so, what is procedure?

$3/an hour on the card. Each item you order off the menu is $7.50 charged to your card. You can cash out your balance anytime over $100 I think.

Anytime you get a meal and use your card, $7.50 comes out of your balance. To cash out your balance, just talk to the desk at the front entrance, they'll give you a voucher that you then take to the cage.

I am currently not in the LA area but have heard that the $3 an hour (minimum $25 to cash out), does not expire and can be cashed out at the card center front desk anytime. Can anyone confirm this?

Previously, you had to cash out your cash balance for the month, by the 15th of the following month.
