Ok, let's go with your suggestions first.

Are you sure? 5/5 was on Live at the Bike Thursday night. No $5 dead blind on the BTN in that game.

I heard from a buddy that the LATB game that night refused to play with it, but that's third hand reporting so it could be wrong.

Poker Atlas says there's an 80-160 mix game going on right now. Anyone have any details about this? Are mixed games a regular thing over there now?

I can confirm the big mix games moved to Bike a couple weeks ago and run daily I believe they still run regularly but can't confirm I haven't been there last couple weeks.

What's the status of the PLO games? I see on PokerAtlas they have a 5/5 PLO game. Is that a real 5/5 game? Or is it like Commerce's 5-5-10 game? Also they show a "PLO 60/200", what the hell is that??

60/200 PLO does not go.. Don't know why they bother listing it.

Bike's 5/5 were more like 5/5/10 but it has currently moved to another nearby casino.

The 60/200 is a 1/2 blue chips game with same structure as most low stakes PLO games, 8 hands Hi, 8 hands Hi/Low no bring in.

It has run twice with very good action, if it runs it is in the lower section and brings in both NL $40 players and some L08 players waiting for 08.

I am very confident it will be a great game if it starts to run regularly - not sure why it doesn't, no jackpot drop either at least not the previous 2 times i think tho it will be merged with the L08 jackpot if it runs regularly.

If anyone is up for trying to get together and start it let me know.

I was there last weekend when the 80/160 mixed was running. I think it was 4/5 handed the majority of the time. One of the guys playing was a friend of a guy I was talking to from out of town here for the tournament series so I would be surprised if the game is normally running.

Can anyone suggest an area to live that is about half
An hour from the beach and the bicycle casino that's around 1300 a month for an apartment? Found a ton of stuff in long beach was just wondering if I'm missing anywhere else, thanks in advance.

Also can someone tell me how the rake back program works please? All I can see is you get one point per hour played but don't see anything on what you receive for it. Thanks again.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me about the 5/5 No limit Holdem games ?

Are there a lot of 5/5 games this week b/c of the tournament ?

Usually they rarely have more than 1 or 2 5/5 games running on average & I'm wondering if it's better action this week ?

I've noticed that decently big mixed games (40-80 to 100-200) have been running pretty regularly here (as also referenced a few posts above). What's the typical mix? Any feedback much appreciated.

The games are Omaha H/L, Stud H/L, badugi, 2-7, 2-7 baduci, and A-5 badacy. Some times they'll take a game out if someone doesn't like a particular game.

Thx for the recommendation.

I found a place on Airbnb, for about $70 a nite, and have stayed 4 days, might stay 2-3 more.

Am a little disappointed with both the bike and commerce .. The rake seems v high, which tends to mean, games can get v nitty. I wouldn't like to be a pro, trying to grind the 100 or 200 buyin games ..

From my small sample of playing nlhe games there, the games are the opposite of nitty. The 3-5 game played huge compared with anywhere else I have played. Straddle, raise to 50, 3 calls seemed to be pretty typical preflop action.

No pro would try to make a living at the $100 or $200 games. Those are rec stakes. If you're trying to be a pro in LA, 5/10NL is really the minimum that would work. This isn't Vegas with low rake and low cost of living.

I played mainly 200 or just 3 hrs, of a 300 buyin - 3/5 game.

It was early in the day, and pros were talking about the hourly wage for
Starting games etc.

Maybe I was unlucky .. Some of the 100 buyin games, even at 2/3, played
A little better, once stacks hit deep - like 400 or so.

A lot of chop pots, unless jackpot poss, in which 2 players normally
Check it down.

Am starting to understand cold profiling of players. Certain groups
Have def more gamble than others.

Hi 2p2ers @ the Bike.

Making a trip down from the bay area this weekend and was thinking about playing in the quantum reload tournament on Saturday. The prize pool looks insanely good for the price... does anyone have any more info?

Is it hard to get a seat? Approximately how many participants are we talking about? And is it hard to cash? Is the field really tough?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!
