I know poker is not great in baton rouge casinos but figured I'd start the thread for info anyways. Anyone play here? Tournaments? #of players?

lol belle. action is great at Hollywood(down the road) but seating is limited. just 4 tables.

I'm not even sure Belle gets a game now that Hollywood opened up. The "room" there sucks anyways; who likes playing in between a bunch of slot machines and tons of smoke?

Hollywood has a steady 1/2 game and 4/8 mixed(holdem/FLO)

Went last friday and there was 3 1/2 and 1 4/8 going steadily until 3am

Does anyone know if the new casino in Baton Rouge will have a poker room? It would seem to me that Baton Rouge should be able to support at least one good poker room.

Played 1-2 at the belle today, for anyone in baton rouge area I don't understand why more people prefer the hollywood. The poker room at the belle was spacious and the staff was more than willing to accommodate players. Also talked to them about starting a wed tourney. For my first time I enjoyed the place, would like to see more 1-2 players in there insteadof the cramped tables of the Hollywood. We were also granted reduced rake once we dropped to 7 players.

The Belle actually has a room? One and only time I was there, was just a few tables roped off on the casino floor right next to slot machines.... good game though, can't complain about that....

because the "room" is a dump. Roped off between slot machines and worse, the smoke is unbearable. Beer comes in plastic cups( i mean really?) So yea...hollywood it is

Yeah I guess room isn't the right word but how is it any different than being roped in much smaller quarters at the Hollywood? I'm not arguing one over the other, just wondering how the game just died at the belle, I really found it more pleasant than dealing with Hollywood especially when HW has a wait list. Btw I guess they read your post, they were giving out bottle beer today. Haha
