Re: Bellagio (Las Vegas, NV)

They open that sometimes because lots of people also ask for raspberry water or whatever flavor they want etc. And believe me I've had old people ask me to open bottles for them plenty of times because people have arthritis etc and just can't open small bottles.

There's no chance Bellagio would sell you anything that is not fresh off the shelf, this is a casino billing itself as the most luxurious and if they did that they lose all their business overnight. The idea that they would do that says more about the cheapness of the person who is saying it, than Bellagio itself.

I am really glad to hear this news. As the only place in town to play medium limit hold 'em games, it was depressing when there was one or 2 tables per limit going on a busy night with 30 people on every list.

I think this will be really good for non-hold 'em games as well as they will be able to support more interest lists and such to get games going that might normally only go at the Rio. Given the choice, I'd much rather play at Bellagio.

Borgata high limit room will open all red bulls prior to going out specifically to combat this. Maybe not the re-selling part, but hoarding and bringing home part.

Now if they could get rid of all the dealers and floor people that have bad attitudes, it would be a better room. The Bellagios best dealers are their part time dealers and that's a shame cause during the week we are stuck with dealers who are burnt out and could care less about their performance.
Bellagio has never added tables other than if they were hosting a WPT tournament. The cash games during the series have always been 39 tables.

Every casino I know opens Red Bulls specifically to prevent people from ordering a bunch and just taking them to go. I have never gotten a closed Red Bull, even when I asked. They said it was against the rules.

Some rooms won't even bring the can. They bring the Red Bull in a glass. I have never seen one bring a sealed can.

When I was in Las Vegas recently, I ordered Red Bulls while I was playing in at least there rooms. Aria served it in an opened can with a straw, as did Caesars. Bellagio served it in a glass over ice.

Bellagio and Planet Hollywood serve it in a glass out of the can which makes me think they have it from a gun instead of in a can.

I'm not sure they have RedBull through the gun system and just shows how mainstream RedBull has gotten.

I never get it unless its in the can.

Why is NL 10/20 spread and not NL 10/25?

Why do you think it is? I have never seen a spread limit game listed on Bravo for Bellagio. If you see 10/20 holdem listed, that is 10/20 fixed limit.

He's not asking about spread limit. He's asking why the big NL game is 10/20 instead of 10/25?

Oops, you're right... odd to use the word "spread" in that context though.

Nope, pretty common.

Correct, so does anyone have an answer?

That's what I was getting at. 10/20 is usually a limit game.

Re: Bellagio (Las Vegas, NV)

10/20 is a no limit game at Commerce, otherwise known as the biggest cardroom in the world. So I wouldn't agree that it's "usually a limit game."

Going back to the beginning, much of what Bellagio has done with game structure has been to mimic what the structures are in LA, since that's where so many of their players are coming from. They've branched from that (the 3/5NL game is no longer $200 min/max, for example) but the 10/20NL is indeed an LA game.

Are you talking about the 2/5 game? I was just wondering about that. AVP still lists the Bellagio 2/5 as $500 max buyin, is that no longer the case? If it is still that way, how differently does it play than other 2/5 games?

I don't plan on playing 2/5 while I am there but just wondering, possibly for a future trip not with the wife.

They went from 1/2nl to 1/3nl and raised that game cap from 200 to 300 and the 2/5nl is still capped at 500 as far as I know...that makes it one of the smaller 2/5 games in town

I assume it runs a lot tighter, then, or is it more tourists? I can't imagine regs would have much affection for it unless they liked playing short/medium stack.

Their 2/5 game many years ago was $200 min/max, now it's $500 max.

And lol no, doesn't necessarily play tight. Smaller buyins induce action.

It plays a lot like the Commerce ram and jam games.

They cap it at $500, so they can run their 5-10 with a $1,500 Cap.

Is there an official rep that answers questions here or maybe in another thread?

Been playing a ton of 10/20 NL last few days. Great action, awesome management and staff.

What do the regs think about pushing for a higher min buy in? Just in 3 days, I've seen a few players who seem to be always min buying and diminishing the quality of the game. I think it's pretty annoying when most people are sitting on 5K++ and one guy sits down with $800 and skews the dynamics negatively. Seems to me like a relatively minor yet consistent problem, just curious what the regs think. 100BB seems like a reasonable min buy in for a game that seems to normally play fairly deep.

Re: Bellagio (Las Vegas, NV)

^ some of your profit comes from shot-takers and I can guarantee the game becomes tougher with 100bb min buyin.. but I support raising it to $1,200.

Re: Bellagio (Las Vegas, NV)

I have only played it a few times, but the times I have played the people who bought in for 800 or 1k were so bad that I didn't mind it. If they were like a strategic short stacker that would be very annoying.

Anyways, am I just running bad in table selection but my last couple times out the 5/10 there has been super reg infested and tight.

I should've just played 10/20 the game looked pretty good.
