I never saw them promote it anywhere. I was embarrassed to ask the floor about it because $48 in comps for 4 hours playing in a 4-8 game sounded too good to be true. But then again, some people would expect private jets, free play, etc. so what do I know?

Have there been any noticeable changes to the 20-40 in the first few weeks of it switching from a time charge to a rake? Are people taking more breaks making for more shorthanded play? More blind chopping?

It changed back to time charge two weeks after the switch. But now $6 per down instead of $5. There was more blind chopping the few times I played inbetween.

is it true, they do not spread more than one $4/$8 LHE table during WSOP month, they would rather have tables running NL games or higher LHE games? Can somebody confirm?

Today...Sunday 430pm Pacific....1 4/8 game going, but only 3 on a wait list.

Confirmed. 5/30-6/3. No more than one 4/8 game, several visits to room.

Isn't that the way it should be? Honestly I think it would be better if they took out the 4/8 totally; I guess they don't want to piss off the regs. But anyone who wants to play 4/8 can easily go to several different places in town instead. The people wanting to play 10/20, 20/40, 40/80 and having to wait through agonizingly long lists have nowhere else to go.

^Besides Orleans and Venetian what other casinos have 4/8? Red Rock? That's too far for a lot of people. And Orleans isn't exactly the Bellagio. Venetian is great but the rake is worse and some refuse to play there because of you know who.

I do agree though that they shouldn't have fewer higher games just so they can please the 4/8 players.

Have you seen the lists for NL games there? They are so long that I haven't been playing there even though it might be my favorite room (not sure if I like Bellagio or Aria better). They just don't have enough room to spread more games there during the WSOP.

Does anyone know if the poker room will validate parking or offer parking comps now that Bellagio will be charging 10-20 dollars a day for valet/self park? This goes into effect in April. (Apparently certain MLife statuses will get discounts, but I don't really venture into the pits)
