I mean if at any point you have an issue you feel needs addressing, get up and speak with the floor lol. The rooms on the strip all have fantastic floors, especially the bigger ones like Bellagio/Aria. If you don't, well that's on you then.

But if you expect the floor to do anything, better slip them a couple red chips at least. They don't do anything for free.

Bellagio at times can be the worst poker room I've ever played in. At its best it's still only about a 7.

Thanks for the trip report. Hard to imagine that 'all' of the Dealers were allowing this to go on. Did any of them address this guy by name (as in he's a 'special' Reg)? It's very possible that this is 'acceptable' in this room to keep the Regs happy and their volume up as one of the highest traffic rooms in Vegas.

I tend to agree that when you got up for your break a short chat with the Floor may have helped your psych a bit too. Glad you were able to pull it together and catch some pots. GL

To the guy calling out of turn. He was never spoken to and from his play style I think he is not a regular in the poker room anywhere. He was not very good and had to keep getting up and getting money to bring back. Why I did not make an issue out of it to the floor. Do not tap the ones loosing money or the regulars will hate you. Typical fish.

I felt the dealer could have corrected the behavior and if the guy plans to play more in the future it needs to be corrected.

The mask guy did have a dealer tell him to correct it but after a few minutes it was under the guys nose and upper lip again and the dealer just ignored it. The mask thing does not really bother me as much but the lack of enforcing rules does.

There were a few $20/40 games and a $40/80 game running as well as a game in the back area im not sure what. I was thinking this could be just the normal in the room to not correct bad play even thought it was just a $1/3 game.

I keep seeing a 1-2 PLO on Bravo, but it doesn't ever seem to run, just a couple of players on the list.

Are the 1-2 PLO games at B/A played with a $5 bring in?
What are the buy-ins when it does run? Min, Max and what do most players buy-in for?

Thanks.

Hello,

Saw something pretty cool my last time in Vegas.

I usually see this guy all the time at the bellagio when I play. Always has a cigar in his mouth with a sweater on. he was playing 1/3. Seems very nice and like 5 minutes later I look in Bobby’s room and he’s playing super high stakes lol.

One of the cool things I love about the B. Splashing around in 1/3 then playing massive.

Does Bellagio allow call in's to get on the waitlists? Or for that matter Aria, Wynn, etc?
Thanks!

Aria gives you a 2 hour window to show up, the biggest in the business I've ever scene.

I was told the Wynn is not accepting any call-ins .. I didn't even attempt to play at the Bellagio this past trip since they don't have much PLO.

While the number of games is lower, there was plenty of hay to be cut at Resorts World.

The one big 'issue' I've noticed right now is that if you are at the top of the list and not standing right there when they call your name you get skipped or removed really quickly. GL

Bellagio definitely allows callins, though possibly not for all games. 1 hour to check in.

Thank you both for the info. I saw Resorts you can check in via Poker Atlas. Good info on the rest!

They will sometimes do that even if you are standing right next to them.

Bellagio is currently giving callins 2 hours to check in, till the end of the world series surge in business.

That sounds backwards. With long lists I would think they want the butts in the games, not waiting for a list to clear.

Anyone know where to find structure sheets for the events at next month’s 5 Diamond classic? Not main event but side events. They may not be published yet but when they are where will they post online?

What a bizarre statement. Why do you think a shorter call-in time would be better?

I was told by a Bellagio dealer that a remodel and expansion of the room is planned in the next year or so.

Wow, expansion? Poker rooms have closed throughout the city yet now and not 10 years ago they decide to expand? Maybe they see how successful all these tournament series are and want a piece of that pie, but they kind of let all their tournament series just die without a whimper. Maybe they want to be able to take all that WSOP business with them now being just across the street, and not across the highway.

This was my thought as well, with Aria, Orleans, Venetian, Wynn all running series during WSOP they are going to try to get a piece of the pie being right across the street.

I've never seen the numbers, but there 'must' be some good numbers when it comes to running tournaments. Then again there's something to be said for that constant flow of rake from a cash game.

Last I knew the B was a top 3 'volume' room in Vegas as far as games running.

It's always good to make upgrades, but is it always good to be a 'me too' rather than just be happy with your niche .. being a full room? GL

1) You can always use Bravo or Poker Atlas to search for games at various times and days of the week. That is 'real time' intel which may or may not represent what happens 52 weeks a year of course.

2) When I was in Vegas during WSOP I found that playing Aria during the day (5-5 rock or 1/2-5) had both good and bad tables. I played up at Resorts World after 8PM and caught some really good games.

3) You should find PLO running 'all the time' at Bally's (Horseshoe) during the WSOP May-July but these games can test your patience since there will be a lot of cash-n-dash Players as well as issues with filling seats. While they are profitable, they can test your mental game especially if Dealers role in and don't know the game.

4) You didn't ask, but no clue if they get PLO going anywhere downtown

5) I'll probably check out the thread above soon, looks decent ..

I'm not a Vegas regular but I do keep tabs .. I give grain of salt with my two cents .. GL

Hey guys, I used to play a bunch at the B a decade+ ago, before I started doing some other gambling things. I've been in the AP game for a bit and I'm wondering if anything has changed at the poker room cashier. I'll prob be around some in the summer playing high but not really high stakes. It used to be that you could cash out for some number in cash (3500 rings a bell for some reason) with no questions asked. You could always get big chips for the rest. If you wanted to cash out more then you'd give ID or players card.

Since I'm a card counter and giving my name is bad business, I'd like to know the number I can get in cash each time without hassle. The CTR rule is definitely not changed, but has anything changed in the last 10 years to make the number something between 3500-10k? thanks

Structuring is also a crime.

Thanks that_pope. Posting about things you don't know anything about should be a crime, but alas. Are people taking flags at the cashier also structuring? Structuring is to avoid paperwork from financial institutions. The 3500 rule is the casinos, not the government's.
