Hey I am moving to Las Vegas in September to come live the dream, can anybody tell me how many hours of poker I'll need in order to get free parking?

Has it changed? I thought it was 75 hours for free self parking and 150 hours for free valet.

75/150 sounds right.

Any fun stories or sightings from the high stakes tables at Bellagio this summer?

Kid at my table saw Gus run out of Bobbys room and asked if he'd do a picture. I said sure why not. (He's not Johnny Chan) So he chased down Gus and he was a good sport and took a pretty good pic with the kid.

A few weeks ago the waiting lists stopped showing which players had called in. So now they just show the names for each game. Why did they make that change?

I asked a floorperson about this a few weeks ago. He hadn't even noticed the change or why it happened.

To make it easier for them to sneak people in to games when they tip the floor staff?

Does anybody know if Bellagio or any other MGM properties care if you play poker while your spouse works at the casino in some other capacity (e.g. corporate or hotel staff)? Thanks.

I worked at MGM properties and that was not an issue .... But it could be an issue if your wife is a key employee (generally these are upper level positions). But keep in mind that your behavior at the property could reflect upon her.

Anyone know what games are usually played specifically in the 40/80 and 80/160 mix? And if the regs ever budge or if they are only set on these games? Thanks

Can I contact somehow a person from Bellagio who can help me.
5 months ago in Bellagio during wsop, I was approached by a bellagio staff in poker room while playing at table and he told me that they found a 5k chip on the floor and saw on camera it was mine and that I should go pick it up at lost&found. I went to lost&found department in Bellagio and they told me they cant give it no matter they saw me on camera and they have to do investigation. I came 2 more times in next month and they told me the same. I decided to contact them again (not in USA atm) and ask about the chip and they replied just that the chip is not found which is ridic cause their guy told me he saw me on camera.
No idea what else to do in this situation.

Poker@Bellagioresort.com ... 702-693-7291 ...

1) Did you get the name of the original staff member?
2) Hopefully you went to security/surveillance, not 'lost and found' and filed an official claim request. Most staff will not make this easy or even suggest it as it creates work on their end unless you were very adamant about it the first time around.

3) Typically lost items, considered 'abandoned property' in casino terms, has a timeline in which it must be claimed. Hopefully this timeline has not past.
4) Did you wire money into the casino originally? This may or may not give them a path to return the cash to you.

5) With you being 'far away' properly identifying you may be an issue.
6) Unfortunately you may not get the full effort of staff unless you are actually standing right in front of them.

Sometimes we lose our chips/cash, but we want to lose them on our own terms. Hopefully you can find some sort of closure ... GL

Lost, mislaid, and abandoned property are three different things with three different meanings and three different rules of ownership in most jurisdictions.

Lost property (such as a chip on the floor) is generally not considered abandoned property, in casinos or otherwise.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost,_...doned_property

OP: Assuming this chip was actually yours and you're not just freerolling a chance to get 5k because someone told you they found one that might be yours... losing a chip may be more complicated than losing actual cash because there are weird ownership issues with chips, which may be considered the casino's property even while in your possession. If you can, you should contact an attorney for assistance. Otherwise, I would just keep calling and asking them to return your property. Make a document logging all the times you've talked to them about it, who you talked to, and what was said. Forward this document to them each time so that they know you are keeping contemporaneous notes and that you are not going away. If it becomes easier for them to return your property than to deal with you now and for the foreseeable future, they may just return it.

I appreciate the help, I have sent an email to poker@bellagio too.
Problem is that I haven't took the issue seriously while I was in Vegas because they have approached me in helpful manner telling me to go get chip back and when they didn't give it to me first time I went to lost&found department all the stuff told me that I shouldn't worry, they investigate it fairly quickly and return chip always.
Because of that I don't have an exact date it happened nor the time logs/names persons I was speaking to

The thing you haven't said .... Is whether you believe you lost a $5k chip.

How fast do Bellagio poker comps expire?

For the last few years it has been 12 months. I have recently seen a couple of posts which intimate that poker comps now expire after just 6 months, but so far nobody has bothered to share how they learned about this.

I have a couple of hundred dollars outstanding in poker comps, and would hate to lose them.

Anybody here can confirm (or refute) this information, please?
