I heard it opened Mon to 1/2 capacity.

Are there 3 per BJ table? What table limits? Shields?

3-2 BJ in HL?

Yes Beau Rivage, glass dividers at BJ, no poker for a long while. No masks required, but temp taken on entry...1/2 capacity. Opened June 1

A bunch of broke poker dealers is all you will find. No plans on reopening any time soon.

Anybody been in the last 1-2 weeks?
I heard that the crowds were slowly picking up, and masks were optional.
Is that still true?

Anybody played here since they opened back up?

I heard 6 max with masks and plexiglass dividers.

Do they still offer food comps for play?

Posted this in the room reopening thread...

“ 6 handed. Plexiglass. Masks required and most were wearing correct. No temp scan to enter.

I ran like crud and played my c game but games were not nitty. Lots of straddles both UTG and Button. Loose passive best description of the table I was at.”

Probably back again this weekend but also another room is possible.

I see a 1/2 uncapped big o game running just about everyday. Anyone know much about it, does it play big, etc

Visiting end of April - how many tables are there and any 5-10 nl or 5-5 plo?

I will stop at BR 2 or 3X yearly. My last visit was in March.
The uncapped Big O game has stacks that go from 200 to as much as 2K. My guess is that players are buying in here for 300-800.
The NL games are all uncapped; thus, it is difficult to get players to move from 1-2 uncapped. Sure, bigger games happen on Fri-Sun, but usually later in the day or evening. Players sign up, then seem reluctant to move to a game that they are unsure will go. At the same time, when you have several stacks in a 1-2 game that are 1K+.....why move? There will be 2K to as much as 4K on the table you are at, if it has been going for some time.

I also get to Beaux several times per year and agree that being uncapped the games play bigger than the blind indicate. Also uncapped nature tends to cap size of the games. Depends on where you are from but 2-5 might seem like many 5-10 games. Around here the buyins are capped but we have match the stack so again they tend to play bigger.

I have seen 2-5 go frequently at Beaux on weekends. Played it a few times. Found it played as big as 5-10 some places. In my experience those 2-5 games break earlier and when those stacks move to 1-3 they often are not even the big stack.

Are games still 6 handed? Any mention when they intend to increase seating?

Looks like the pools open, but the area seems kinda dead/hood. Any safety concerns? Host in Vegas advised me to not leave the property lol.

Not sure what area you looked at, but Beau Rivage is right at the water front with other hotels to the East and West on Beach Blvd for several miles.

Your host should be fired. Biloxi is not very pedestrian friendly but where you can walk I believe it is safer than LV strip. Biloxi is certainly a blue collar town and does have rough areas. Yhose are not where Beaux is located.

What if you're Asian, am I more likely to experience Asian Hate Crimes there?

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not.

It's a tourist area. #1 priority in tourist areas around the world is to keep tourists save. No matter if Las Vegas, Cancun or on safari in Namibia.

Trip Report:

Free Chartered Flight, 2500 Promo Chips, and 2k in food credit:

5 Card Big O game runs daily and only 1 2/5 table.

PLO did not run at all during my trip.

Won 5k in poker/blackjack and got out of there.

Stalla/Jia/ and Prime were all great.

P.S. Waffle House across the street was real good.

I have good memories of this poker room. Went on a 23,000 km 2 month road trip where I hit up 60 casinos, and played a $4400 pot in the 1/3 game at the Beau.

It was just over 2 years ago, but I still remember the hand quite well. Ok I'm actually looking back at an old chat to get the exact history.

UTG fishy young guy raises to 6, Laggy older black man UTG+1 with almost 2k raises to 25 in EP, cutoff calls, I call on the button (2200) with QhJh, and UTG calls.

Flop comes Kh7h3x. UTG checks, UTG+1 snap bets 100. Cutoff folds, I call, UTG calls.

Turn Kh7h3x 3h

UTG checks, UTG+1 snap bets 500. This was a big decision. I tanked maybe 90 seconds, which as maybe the 2nd longest I've ever taken in a hand. I decide to shove my 2k. UTG calls, UTG+1 shrugs and calls. He shows AhKx and has a handful of outs. He doesn't hit, and I win a massive pot, until UTG slowrolls his 77 about a minute later while the dealer is counting chips. So he takes the main pot of about 1200, and I take the side pot of about 3200.

And this was played during Mardi Gras time, and we couldn't get a room that night, so we had to play all night until we could get a check-in in the morning. Crazy night, and crazy, crazy, memorable trip.

I also want to add the beau is where I started playing poker and got my a** kicked many many times....years later and Im a regular 2/5 5/10 winning player and just want to tell everyone this aint your normal 2/5 game that youre used to. I used to take shots at the 2/5 here and stacks were regularly 5k+ with sick action. After playing 5/10 at various places including seminole hard rock, aria, various poker rooms in portland....that 2/5 game at the beau is the deepest and most aggressive game around. VMost of the regs in this game are/were very good players as well.
