Headed to the Coast this weekend, my first time back in several years.
How's the meal comp situation for the poker room, x$ per hour played?

The new BR poker room is impressive. I hear it used to be a barbecue restaurant, if so, I admire the recycling.
Check out these photos if you haven't seen it yet: http://www.sunherald.com/news/business/casino-gambling/article54436130.html

I see Johnny is no longer the TD at the Beau Rivage. I'm wondering if there is a poker rate for the 2017 Million Dollar Heater.

Also, would like to see how much interest there will be this year since I missed it last year. Been a long time since I was on any of the forums.

There is a poker rate for the rooms. Call and ask for Felica in the office at 228-386-7254. She can give you the details.

4/8 Limit Holdem, 1/3 and 2/5 NL Holdem, 1/2 and 5/5 PLO, and 10/20 Omaha 8 with a half kill. All big bet games are uncapped.

I'm coming from NJ to MS at the end of May!

So what are the comps for this room?

I saw $15 for 3 hours played in this thread? how does it work?

Thanks.

Make sure you swipe in at the table with your players card, a manager will check your time and issue you a paper comp of $15 or $30 depending on your play. It can be used at any restaurant but the steakhouse. Good luck!

Is this place very active on weekdays? I'm looking for a change from Harrah's New Orleans.

Mid-week I've seen a few 1/2 games running and one 2/5 game - all NLHE. Zero limit or Omaha games.

I was there around 11AM Wednesday and didn't see one single player in the room who didn't look like an AARP member.

I hope you are not expecting hoodies and backpacks at limit tables too . Most areas with retirees are the only ones that still have these games going outside of Vegas anymore. It is a shame since I love playing 10/20 and 15/30 as a break after tournaments.

I guess I was mostly surprised by the fact that the casino was pretty busy with people of all age groups considering the time of day and still nobody under 50 was playing poker.

I actually thought at least one table was NL but might be wrong about that. I walked in, took a look at the players and decided to go to the beach instead.

One difference in the older guys there though, they usually have deep pockets and lots of gamble. They are not playing for comps and promos.

I will be down 11/2-11/5. I play limit mostly at home, but dabble in NL for fun. Will it be the same as others have mentioned, maybe 4/8 and 1/2 NL?

Are there other poker rooms with visiting in Biloxi?

Did 10/20 limit O8 suddenly become popular on Saturdays? The game started before 9AM this past Saturday? Is this going to be a trend or was it random?

First Beau only spreads 1-2 PLO. For NLHE the small game is 1-3. But iirc it is uncapped. This has almost killed the 2-5 there and makes the 1-3 plpay considerably bigger. It does not bother me when I go there but I have heard others complain.

IP is ok sometimes I have heard. Scarlet pearl has a daily, cheap donkament but almost never cash games. Plus when they did have games, dealers and floors horridly favored regs.
