I don't know how deep your 200BB max 2/5 game plays, but especially if the min buy-in is 50BB+, I highly doubt the BR 1/3 game creates bigger average pots.

But I doubt you'll find many games in public card rooms without players buying in for the minimum? I can't remember the last time sitting at a 9 handed table anywhere, where not at least 3 players had 50BB or less in front of them.

Yah ofc just rare if non existent for uncapped lsnl hence the expectation. Nola I'm sure is a bit better but more expensive and parking at hotels would add a crazy cost to trip (I'm driving obviously)

Many hotels outside the French quarter / CBD have free parking and are not more expensive than Biloxi you just need to drive a bit. Combined with the free parking at the casino this should not set you back a lot more. Food/dining is prolly more expensive in NOLA though

Yah just didn't wanna be driving around there early in the am. Is hourly parking for restaurant or mostly private lots charged by the day. Also does Harrah's have a limit to how many times a day you can get free parking thru poker (cash game) how far a walk I's parking to the poker room? Is there an easy drop off/pickup area close to room as well or would actual lot be closer?

We usually stay in Lake Charles before NOLA and then Biloxi and most of the time L’Auberge > Beau Rivage > where ever we stay in NOLA as far as hotel prices go..

Don't wanna go that far west. (LC). Was considering going to Biloxi during wsopc nola before I was aware of it running at that same time. Now having seconds thoughts as games in blixoi may be even sparser during that time

Harrah's/Ceasars had a tier match for diamond. Not sure if still going on. But if so, we have parked cars (through valet) free for a week before (when going on a cruise from NOLA.

If you can't get diamond, then the self parking garage is probably a total of 1 bock walk (much of it inside) from poker room. And this is a normal black not a LV block.

You don't really want to be driving around the quarter. It is for walkin. So you do want to park a leave it. But many places do charge in 1, 2 4 hours.

The whole quarter is really a walking experience. If walking is a trouble for someone, then the quarter is probably not a ideal destination.

Does anyone regularly play the 50k 2-day tourneys that are held on the 1st full weekend of each month?

Im looking for insight on what the usual length of the sunday restart is? How many usually make day 2? It looks like the restart is 10am so I'm assuming it's over by afternoon or early evening?

Is it held in the ballroom upstairs?

Held in the poker room. 10% make day 2, usually 2 tables ~20 players, starts 10am till usually 6pm

Additionally, every third Saturday of the month is 10K guarantee 1-day even $200 buy-in.

Thanks, and the quality of games is pretty good? Not shortstacked and action. Or does the 1/3 play like a mediocre 1/2 or a decent 2/5? Thinking of going in Nov.

When I was there the action was insane. Not much table selection but you probably wont care. Every table I played had significantly more action that Im used to.

Since they raised or removed the cap it basically milked off the 2-5 as the is no reason to play up. The action fine.

There has never been a cap on the 1/3 games there.

Couple other questions thanks in advance.

-self parking is how far from the poker room? Is the valet/drop off area closer?

-rake is $5 max or $5+x for promotions?

Valet is closer. Poker room is at the back of the casino. If you sel park you walk past hotel registration and valet entrance and then proceed to front of the casino. So I would not say either are close but valet is closer.

Was thinking about going down on a promo offer soon, doesn't look like PLO games run anymore the times I've checked. Can anyone confirm if PLO is dead here?

I just stayed in Biloxi from August 3-6th at the Harrah's. We came for some relaxation and some slots for my girl not so much for poker but I went it 1 night to the Beau. It was during the week and they had 4 tables 1/3 going, stacks looked like 200-300$
Action was alright I would say nothing really out of
the ordenary preflop bets like 10-15$ range. While I was there I saw the IP casino having maybe 1* 1/3 $ game going and some 4-8 limit games in ip and Beau.
We parked always selfpark, had a few free buffets. Liked the new scarlet pearl(D'Iberville) food the best over Beau.
By the scarlet pearl is also a great Mexican (Pepe's)restaurant just outside on the corner.
