Hi all,

I will be traveling in Barcelona and be in town Saturday-Monday nights. If I want to play a cash game, what is the best location? Any tips for an American getting money to play? Anything to watch out for? My usual game is 5/10 or 10/20 NL fwiw.

Outside of major tournaments I wouldn't expect too much 5/10 10/20, maybe 5/10 in the evenings if you are lucky. Money, use ATMs, check fees with your bank/s. Money changers will generally charge quite some vig

Also be careful outside the casino. While it's generally a nice area and the beach is close by it is known for pickpockets and related stuff, but that's mostly the case for almost all the tourist areas

I played 2/5 for a few hrs, they started 5/10 right as I was about to take off. Game was ok, a couple fish and a bunch of tight young regs. Doubled up the fish with a3 on 8542x

The casino is in a nice location, had lunch before overlooking the beach before going in around 5 pm. Walking out could be sketchy after dark, but at 9pm no issues.

I brought dollars with me and they changed them at the cage. Rate ended up being 1.05 vs 0.97 real rate (1000usd got me 956eur).
