So far I'm enjoying the room. It's split in 3 sections, but 2 of the sections seem to not be ready yet. A few hiccups for the soft launch, but nothing big. (Mostly a few auto shufflers down, but they replaced them.)

Sadly no one knows about the new room, so it's filled with a bunch of Bally's regs. Not saying they're any good. You have 2 groups of players. 1 bunch of people who play anything that could hit for a bad beat. Then the other bunch who just play the blinds and bounce around.

Tbe place is open. The good news is that There is a lot of space. The Bad news is that they serve Sanka which is gross and worse than tang. The general rebellion by the players who play over 200 hours and are to see their Rakeback reduced, Was made easier for them to swallow once they saw the omaha players not contributing to the promotional fund. Any questions?

Best of luck to Dan and all the Bally's crew. I'll be there soon to check it out. I hope the better dealers came over and not all of them. Some were less than good at the old room.

I'll never understand the minds of people who go out of their way to create issues out of nothing. The OE players do not contribute to the BBJ, therefore they are not eligible to win the high hand promotions. Anyine who implies otherwise is talking out of their ass.

the rake-back and free-roll are funded by the promotional funds. the OE players do not contribute to the promotional funds. If they are eligible for rake-back or the free-roll without making a contribution to the promotional funds, the money is being distributed from the hold 'em players to the OE players. This news comes just as the players who play over two hundred hours a month are being told their rake-back is being reduced! So the players who play the most hours and pay the most into the promotional funds are being told, they are not so important to the casino...at the same time, the OE players are increasing their equity in the promotional funds by $5/hour, without contributing a dime to the promotional funds, - nice work if you can get it!

Wrt o/e players having high hands..Dont think so.

Place looks much nicer than old location but I'm expecting someone to call a bingo game any second, crowd feels like retirement community.

Also, its a wsop room and they have pictures on the wall from the wsop when it was still shown in black/white. No moneymaker, raymer or hachem?

And who the f is this guy?

Relax, there isnt even a o/e game going right now. Is it really worth it to get upset over the 7 dudes playing o/e? You seem to gripe alot about cet properties, why not move your play somewhere else?

That would be Bobby Baldwin a poker icon for more than 30 years who has a high stakes poker room named after him in the Bellagio and wrote a section in Super System among many other things. I guess he's not as popular to you as those 3 one hit wonders you know.

Nah Raymer is a solid player. I should not of included him. The other two are a different story though. Hopefully the room takes off, It would be nice to have a boardwalk alternative to the Borgata in the summer.

It would be nice but I can't see it taking off in a greater sense. I find the location pretty remote.

Remote from what? It's right in the middle of the Boardwalk.

Can someone merge the two threads?

The room is open for a full 24 hours, how come there is not even a single review of the new location?

What's good and bad?

I am pretty sure Dan is interested in hearing both.

Also, please merge both the threads as the room is now open.

i will try to check out this room next weekend

as to being remote, that is just dumb

this room might cause every other poker room on the Boardwalk to shut down

The foot traffic alone from Pacific Ave will be absolutely amazing this summer

They didn't know you needed a 25 minute walk to get there from the boardwalk, though.

With so much foot traffic will people be more likely to grab chips off the table and run (like what I've seen happen at the Taj late night)?
