Go to a real casino. lol Borgata is the onl place you'll see 2/5 on a regular basis. Maybe Harrahs or GN on occasion. GL

Why is it that $2/$5 NL can't be spread on a regular basis? Comps are decent.

Player pool, rake, overall room??? Crazy that Borg has several always going, yet B and H do not.

Walk into ballys. Stop, and look around.

Then walk into Borgata, stop and look around. The answer will become clear.

Room is poorly run, it's the dirty boardwalk. There's a variety of reasons. In general when you have arguably one of the top 5 poker rooms in the country what across town, why would people go elsewhere to play?

I like the atmosphere of this room. I take the bus from NYC all the time and the room is close to the bus station. I mainly play low stakes NL and they run a lot of promotions. It may not be the Borgata but it's still decent. Too bad their poker room doesn't get that much love here in Atlantic City.

I like to play at Bally's and stay there too because the wife (and sometimes child when he comes along) likes the boardwalk and the late night games are usually juicy with horribad drunk degens throwing away several buy-ins.

Also, I never seem to recall playing or running well at Borgata but that could be small sample size combined with confirmation bias.

Apparently they haven't been doing food vouchers for over a year now. I'm not sure why given that Harrahs AC still does.

I played there on a Friday about a month ago. Same old same old. 1/2NL and 2/4LH high hand chasing games. Bad players at my table. Still running 5K guarantee tourneys. Not a real hotspot of 2+2ers. Nothing special imo about the room overall. Drab old school AC room feel. Check bravo and you'll see the real.

In response to cardzone again. I'm here now. 3 2/4 games 6 1/2 games and 82 entrants in the 5K tourney tonight. Action seems ok. Same room as it ever was

Going to AC next weekend & Might check the room out but I agree.... The room feels old and not as fun as the others in AC. Def needs updating. Still dont understand y they took the Caesars room out. That place was always fun. I think they felt WWW Casino was going to waste.

I still like playing at Ballys. It's got a unique charm to it. Very underrated. It only runs 1/2 NL, 2/4 limit and the occasional 2/5 NL but I like it. And during Friday and Saturday evenings, when you take a break, its a short walk to the Wild Wild West playroom with beer pong, table games and live music.

Hadn't been to Wild west in probably 10 years. Wild west had a good/college vibe FWIW. Definitely a more fun place to hang out than say borgata for non poker activities. Also has 10x odds at dice which is nice if you wanna tee off on coin flips.

Thanks YouFold2Me for sending me in the right direction. Just wanted to post a trip report.
Was there Friday, played $1/$2 for a while, pretty easy table, finished up about $275. Played the 3pm $45 tournament just for fun, some of the worst play I've ever seen, but it's a turbo, so to be expected. Bricked early, decided not to rebuy and went to Phillips Seafood for a nice shrimp scampi dinner instead. Came back to cash and hear yelling across the room - Who wants to play $1/$2 PLO? The guy doing the yelling had been loud a couple times during the day. Guy next to me says he's down 5k on the day and is very drunk. Sounded good to me, plus I never played live PLO, so I said let's go. The guy was across the table from me and reeked of alcohol. Said he had been kicked out of Borgata, and was playing here til his 24 hour ban was up. They were just finishing a round of NLHE before the PLO was to start, so we played a few hands. He tried bullying me out of pots with big bets, and twice I called him down with a decent pair and took the pot. The PLO, as expected, was even crazier. This guy kept pulling piles of black chips out of his pocket every time he busted. I stacked him twice, including a pot where I bet, he raised to $105, and I potted it for $420 with the nut straight, and he called with I don't know what (he mucked). After rebuying he said he wasn't buying in again, although I saw him count about 20 hundred dollar bills in his wallet. Eventually I had to go home, but when I and another guy left he was trying to turn it into a $2/$5 game. Definitely a fun night at a usually staid Bally's.

Thinking about heading here or harrahs this weekend.

Any updates on the room, stakes, action?

What are some of the promotions the cet properties offer poker players, in terms of room rates or comps?

What are the best rooms at Bally's?

I remember they had some awhile back with really big soaking tubs.

If I'm playing at Wild Wild West, should I just stay at Caesars? How far of a walk is it from the poker room at Wild Wild West to Caesars Centurion Tower or Ocean Tower?

Stay at Caesars. Much cleaner. Hop skip and a jump to poker room at WWW.

Don't forget the air hockey table around the corner from poker

New hours? 10am - 4am, Monday through Friday. Hmmm. Even with spring and summer approaching? Seems odd

I knew as soon as that corporate raider Ichan got in the picture CET would start going downhill. They don't call him Ichan the Liquidator for nothing. Lets see his track record in AC. How many Casino's did he run into the ground (On Purpose) How many times does Atlantic City need to see what Ichan does to Casinos in this area......
Sands ...
Taj.....
Trump Plaza....
**** To be noted he was also the reason the Showboat and the AC Club couldn't re-open as casinos. When he owned the Taj and the Tropicana he negotiated both the Showboat and the AC Club not to open as casinos so his property's would become more profitable and be sold for more money. (Real Bad for Atlantic City Real good for him)
and now Harrahs, Ballys and Caesar's (Watch out) This guy is not a friend of Atlantic City Casinos ... the only reason the Tropicana made it when he owned it was because it was to big and new to sell off and he sold it anyway.
The bad beat has been stuck for weeks at the same amount with no explanation. The only good games in the room are late at night when the regular comp seekers go home, And now they are gonna close at 4 AM. They usually only have 1 or 2 games going but they are always juicy at that hour. So done with the Wild West Poker Room. ....OK..... Done with my rant !!!!!
