I went again last night, the dealers and floor are actually improving (imo), but the waitress service still sucks.

About 2-3 good solid players (and one good LAG who essentially ran over the table) at my table yesterday, all of them had been around for the Borgata $560 and moved over there to play 1-2 or 2-5.

So many abhorrently bad players though, it really is crazy how people can play for years and still not understand why limping with almost any two is bad. I realize this is standard for 1-2, but I saw an awful lot of it last night.

Yes, terrible. Must be stopped.

How many 2-5 tables are running on average at lets say 8pm on a weeknight?

Really want to check out the new poker room but don't like the extra $1 for the bbj drop. What reasons or pros can you think of for playing here and what makes you play here instead of elsewhere?

They currently run a High Hand promotion for $500/hour with no qualifier. Also, there is a freeroll every month that has been reinstated. In addition, the play 4 hours, get a same day comp room is a great promotion Sun-Thurs. Rakeback is also earned based on hours played, just check the Bravo for amounts.

Also, if you like larger buy-ins, the 1/2 has a $500 cap and the 2/5 has a $1000 cap. Plus, 2/5 is now a time game at $5/PPH. Also, if you want to earn points on a casino card that transfers to other areas within the country, its better than say Borgata where your points are only good there. Bally's pays $1.50/hour on 1/2 and $2/hour on 2/5 in comps. You can then use them towards food/rooms and other items.

There are pros/cons to any room you play in. You just have to weigh what works best for you. I would give the room a try, but you'll have to make the decision where you're primary property will be. Some people value certain things differently, so if the extra drop is a make or break item for you, then you'll have to decide that. I do know that many people are against it, and it hasn't gone over favorably, but other factors have come into play that make up for it, IMHO.

lol I meant it as a good thing LDO

I'm just dumbfounded by it all. I'm not a particularly strong player (slight winning player at 1-2 over about 200 hours, was a slight winner at 10NL and 25NL online), how can people continually leak away money and still think they're playing well?

I guess the play four hours, get a comp Sun-Thurs makes the poker room rate pointless for those days, but is there still a poker rate available on weekends? It was quoted once early in the thread but not since.

I've only been at weekends but I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. The regs at my 1-2 table were talking about how the game may start up midweek but often breaks very quickly.

There were two 2-5 tables running for a little while last weekend but for the most part just the one.

Does the 10-20 OE game run there every day like it used to at Harrahs?

Anyone here have experience playing at CET properties located in AC and getting room offers in Vegas? I am going to Vegas in June and would like to get a free room while I'm there. Wondering what kind of volume I would need to put in to start seeing the offers in TotalRewards.

Thanks for any help or insight you can give!

I have been a recreational player (read: 10-20 hours a month of 1-2, 2-5 and occasional WSOP Circuit event across AC and Chester) for a few years at CET properties. I also have booked comped hotel rooms in Vegas through TR. I continue to get year-round comp offers, usually not valid for major holidays though. I don't know whether this is mainly due to playing in AC/PA or because I have a history of going out to LV 1-3 times a year, but it's definitely possible given the amount of play I put in.

I checked out the room briefly. It looks nice imo. Not that much action or tables running so I went to Borgata. Maybe a little too much WSOP branding, but w/e.

I play mostly in AC with only an annual WSOP-time trip to vegas and I get a lot more room offers for vegas than I do for AC.

But I play tourneys almost exclusively, so I don't get many offers at all anymore.

On that DMFJ Bloomberg TV special, the CEO of Caesars said that the business model is essentially to use their local casinos in individual states to drive traffic/customers into their Vegas properties. Which is why the local casinos haven't really affected the margins at Caesars LV properties

I get many room offers for Vegas from CET ever since I started to show them some action on the crap table. I play Poker down in AC for the last 10 years and didnt start getting Vegas offers until the crap action. Pretty decent offers including 3 nights over the weekend,, with my choice of their Vegas properties except Ceasers where there was a small room fee.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from The Quad. Noisy and crummy joint last year. Had to leave after the first nite and they hooked me up at Ballys Vegas which is right in the middle of the Strip. Decent and clean place.

How are the Fri/Sat 7pm $10k guaranteed tournies? I'd imagine its a ****show and fairly easy to cash. Do they get 100 players?

No ante. Painful to play. Play was as good as a $100 live tourn gets. If they had antes I would play every weekend.

Pretty soft fields. Not difficult to cash if you have the slightest clue about hand reading.

Lots of supernits, passive stations, and aggressive spewtards. Payouts are top-heavy though so you need to finish in the top 4 to make decent coin, but that's true of any tourney like this.

They're always right around 100 runners.

1. can i get a room at caesars?

2. can i reserve a room for 3 consecutive nights?

3. can i get a room at one caesars property, but put in my play at another caesars property? eg: i stay at caesars sun, mon and tue. on sun and mon i play 4 hours each day at WWW. on tue i play 4 hours at harrahs.
