played the 7pm today. after not having played at the showboat in over a year I'd forgotten how bad it gets late without antes where ppl have <10bbs but there is barely any action.
I'm sure the tournament is +EV enough but what of life EV? any chance feedback to the floor/management will make them consider antes for the 10ks.

This. Please bring back antes. I have played there almost every weekend, however without antes the tournament is just plain bad. Friday night I was considering the tournament but though do I really want to sit here for hours and hours of people folding with no action because they can in a tourn with no antes? No thanks.

I see on bravo they have comp room promotions. What are the play time requirements?

They did this to the 3pm twice last week.
Announced registration open at 2:30 and then canceled the whole thing at 2:45.

They should understand what the term "guarantee" means.

These decisions guarantee me to never step foot into this room.

It's one thing to cancel it with some notice due to weather or something, but that is completely unacceptable.

I referred to the concept of higher tiered players getting to the top of the wait list as an elitist-bullsh*t, and you chose to respond with name-calling.

It's not elitist BS though. If you spend the money you get the perks. I suppose casinos should eliminate tier cards altogether and treat everyone the same.

The WSOP National Championship event will be at WWW May 22-24. Here's the first paragraph of the release.

For the record the only time a tournament has been canceled at WSOP poker room was under 10 players. I will not run ANY tournament under ten players Guarantee or Not. I have paid out many overlay tournaments without hesitation. afor those posting please be fair and get all the facts straight not just what backs your complaint..

i'm assuming you picked my post randomly from those addressing this issue. but i don't see which facts i do not have straight.

you had a tourney listed as "guaranteed" and you cancelled it because you didn't have enough runners. i acknowledge the lack of runners may have been extreme. i also acknowledge your room has paid out overlays way beyond what you've pulled in on promotional drops. but this situation still occurred. those few players may have taken a day off work or traveled far or simply chosen your room over another because they wanted to make sure there was a tournament with a decent sized prize pool.

what exactly are you guaranteeing?

to be fair... this is the first issue i have seen. i see the efforts you've made with these rooms and with showboat back when you revived it (promos, specifically training staff on better customer service, noise dampening window partitions, etc) and appreciate it.

just take the guarantees off.
