That's what Bravo says..
I'll ask tonight about the structure.

That was fast lived huh? I Knew i it wouldn't last long but only two weekends? Damn. I couldn't play last week during the 11am because my wife was with me and I had to entertain her. Looks like it will be the 7PMs Saturday then. Guess giving away 50k in overlay a weekend was a bit much. Maybe this one will take off.

The ponzi scheme of stealing from the hold 'em players and giving to the tournament players was not sustainable in the long run and even had the predictable short term effect of driving away some of the hold 'em players that were making the ponzi scheme possible.

The BBJ as of 3/17 is posted as $334,165.

It is for the three rooms, isn't it?

Is it apparent that it has been reduced? Can't tell.

Did the Poker Management ever say they used BBJ Monies for the Guarantees the past two weeks or commented on the speculation?

Now CET can get back to the business of taking from the weekend players and semi-regs in order to subsidize the weekday regs. The hypocrites can smile again.

Numerous people there told me this wasn't what they were doing, that Ballys was eating the costs of the overlays. I suppose they could lie about it, but I certainly have no reason to think they were. Otherwise, why cancel them?

I talked to some employees of CET that i am personal friends with and i was told the same thing. Ballys was eating the money. Makes sense. Why else discontinue them? Only to protect their bottom line.

Some people in this forum assumed it was being fed by the BBJ funds, but no one here (ie ACDan) said this was actually the case.

in post 81 ACDan noted that they were paying out far more in promotions and overlays than they were taking in in jackpot drops.

he also noted that he is allowed to use jackpot drops to pay for overlays.

take from that what you like. i don't have a horse in this race. just remembered that ACDan had somewhat addressed this.

I am not so convinced that the higher courts of NJ would agree with
the CET position concerning This theft of the bbjp funds even if the spineless DGE allows it. Beyond that
The growth of the bbjp is not compensated by the decrease
In the money for the freeroll, the rakeback, rhe high hand to $200
For quads or the elimination of the tournament of champions. Compare
The growth of the bbjp to that of the Borgata which only takes out one dollar.
The problem is that the numbers don't add up.

Like I said in another post. Add $10 to each tourn entry and make tournaments eligible for the bbj. Nothing to complain about then and it would draw a larger tournament base.

There's no way I would ever enter a tournament at a casino that did this.

Me thinks, A federal judge might order them to
Renounce the dark side,
As it pertains to the theft of the bbjp funds.
If an out of state resident were to be deprived
Of a large sum of money that went some where
Else in error, that might provide a sufficient
Ground for federal court jurisdiction.

Evidence please? Also what does a federal judge have to do with state gaming?

If you. Couldn't figure it out, its not important,
(Even hungry bears don't catch salmon Until July,
So we have some time for fact gathering, - I
Modestly suggest we)
focus on the main
Point: where are the two dollars in promotional funds going?

To the bears who would otherwise have to wait until July to eat.

CETis really the bottom of the barrel when it comes to catering to the player....

Before I moved to baltimore I was a video poker junkie and well as the stupid nickel slots earned diamond status and all that got me was room rates of $714 and $580 respectively on A random weekend.....;

How can management explain a $2 bbjp drop in AC? It's a dead town.....plus the 2/4 and 1-1 players cant afford that off the game

Both the Friday night and Saturday night tournaments are now going to be 10K instead of 25K, and the structure will stay the same.

Dipce has made same dumb comment in this thread 50 times. If he thinks the room is stealing from him, he should stop playing there. But most helpfully, he could at least quit ruining this thread until he has something original to say.

It looks like I was given wrong info as Bravo has smaller starting stacks, shorter levels and a smaller buyin.

I have to agree. Dipce, stop being a broken record. We all understand your opinion on the matter.
