just to give my personal thoughts because i love hearing myself speak.

i'm strictly a cash player. aside from a $40 tourney i entered because my friend asked me to play it with him while we were in vegas, i haven't played a tourney in about 5 years.

i would play wsop main event qualifiers. it's the dream!

i am highly considering playing the guarantees this saturday if there is a big overlay again.

I would agree with borgata because they just take 4+1 and never miss a Guarantee

But

GN? All they do is mimic everything that CET does. They take 4+ 2 just like CET and they use the Promotional fund to cover shortfalls Just like CET. Lets at least be honest !!

GN, has yet to cancel a guarantee... And still pays $500 for any HH quads or better. Not $200 for quads. You don't even know for certain that's what GN does with their promo funds. LETS BE HONEST!

I haven't heard anything this year but I'm sure there will be. It should be coming out the end of April. I know you have less than 2 months to use all the coupons and they're good through June 30th usually. We'll be hearing soon enough.

Not to discourage you from playing, but you won't have any idea if there will be an overlay until well into the tournament. People tend to register very late ( for example when I played last Saturday we started I think with only 25 runners) and there are the reentries to account for too. If you waited til near the end of the reentry period to get a sense of how many entries there are you'll be coming in with 200-400 blinds in the 11AM or 300-600 in the 7PM, soon to be raised to 300-600 in the 11 AM or 400-800 in the 7 PM. This is suboptimal for a dedicated cash player who is probably not used to playing with shorter stacks.

I have been there for several "GUARANTEES" that were not dealt due to low entrance. New room with large open spaces, cold, no free roll and lower HH sucks...

In the new room? Or are you referring to when everyone in AC cancelled their tournaments due to bad weather?

What difference does it make if there is an overlay or not if the prize money is guaranteed. It only matters if there is a low number of runners as you will have a better chance at at prize with a low number of runners. It's not rocket science that there will be rebuys from eliminated runners and they will probably overlay by about 7500 if there is 100 entries/rebuys.

Let me know if I am wrong about this.

Because it's better value for your money. The prize pool is higher, disproportionate to the amount of money you invest.

It is guaranteed at 25k if 30 runners go or 300 runners go. Isn't the value of the guarantee in that there are less runners? So, if there is an overlay of 7500 if there is 100 runners, isn't it still a yes to playing?

Apparently the microphone is broken and they haven't figured out another way to call a game. 10 players on the OE list and they don't know who is in the room or call ins. Game is now running and bro still shows an interest list.
