dont you think that WSOP satellites would promote the room??

since caesars closed the room AC lost a circuit event
harrahs use to run them starting march
players were told that WWW was going to pick them up but dan said no

WWW has cancelled tournaments, taken $$ from BBJ to cover guarantee,
lower high hand from $500

so since its march and none are scheduled or even being planed i guess none

you can try to defend WWW/CET but the room is already on a downward spiral if they cant run the promos now why would they later

They reduce the money taken out to fund
The bbjp to money just for the bbjp funds
Which would reduce the money they are grabbing
From the pots from $6 to $4.25

Yeah it actually creates a better dynamic than a standard 60-300 buy in, because anyone who wants to really shortstack will play in their 1-1 game, you obviously do get people buying in for 100 but the average buy in was at least 200 and many people were buying in for max.

My stack high point on Saturday was $625 and their were 2 stacks that covered me, can get nice and deep. Funny thing is the people that covered me made could have actually played an immensely big pot ($1400 or so at 1-2) if someone hadn't open shoved a set for like 5x pot causing other dude to correctly fold AK.

They should give players rake back like if u play 100 hrs then u get 400 in cash and take all other promos away this way the more hrs played the more cash u get u don't need high hands or Bbj reward the players who play alot to keep the room open

Four times your hours play that's the rake back that way everybody gets a piece of there money that they contribute every month no more paperwork for high hands and Bbj payouts keep the money in the poker community

I have a better idea. Add a $10 fee to the entry fee to go directly into the BBJ and make all tournament hands elligibe for the bad beat. Tournament entry+admin+bbj. That will be another draw for getting players in and the players will be paying into the BBJ so there should be no complaining anymore. Right?

I'll defend them when the criticisms are unfair.

THEY HAVE BEEN OPEN FOR A WEEK AND A HALF! Do you really think we've seen and heard about everything they are planning already?

Yes, there have been issues. I commented on them myself in a few different posts, but it seems like some people here think since they did not automatically become Borgata-on-the-Boardwalk from the minute they opened, the room is a complete fail. Dan is an active member of this thread. He'll listen to our concerns and make changes whenever they are feasible.

Constructive criticism is one thing, and there have been a lot of good points made in the thread, but some others have just let loose with a barrage of "THE ROOM IS SUCK FAIL CRAP GARBAGE OMGWTFBBQQQQQQQ!!!" that is not gonna help the room get where we all want it to be.

Give them more than 11 days to get their operation in order and make the adjustments that are needed. Then you can decide, once and for all, if it's a room you want to give your business to.

Possibly silly question, but why $4.25? Current rake+drop is $4+$2, so without the bbj it'd be $4.00. Was the original rake+drop $4+$0.25 (quarter chips)? What am I not understanding?

It is unclear how much money of the two dollars collected actually goes to the bbjp funds and gets distributed when the bbjp hits. I am assuming with a drop for the bbjp maybe a fraction of the two dollars collected will be distributed when the bbjp hits in August if lots of bbjp funds
Continue to disappear into tournament guarantees, 25 cents maybe, so $4 + 0.25 = $4.25

ok CET employee

i guess you never full read my posts i have said i would like to see WWW do good even though Borgata is a better room

When Borgata opened they paid the overlay for months but you dont add that to your defending rant

if you are using the players $$ to cover the overlay that is just plain wrong..
When you open a new business to have to make an investment..CET is not making an investment they just moved their tables in to the empty space with no game plan or patience on getting a ROI. Insead they just used the players $$ So yes i say dont support a room that takes advantage of players..
i was there no floor people for the tournament , no waitstaff no food no free parking no $500 high hand Changed to $200 List goes on and on

So if they see this why dont they fix it before nobody comes back
aslo wsoponline the exclusive place for online qualifiers runs 1 on wed 1 on sat no steps or stt and if you win more than 1 wsop main event you cant use the other one they keep it HOW IS THAT FOR CET

remember when TAJ thought they would never lose their player base look at them now .. when players are unhappy the dont return

You don't think they should be held to a higher standard? It's not like they are opening a brand new poker room for the first time as a company with a new poker room manager like Revel. They are combining two rooms that have been around for many years. This should be a seamless opening that blows you away. I'm sorry, but that's the way I feel. If they were new to the game, with brand new dealers, new floor and a new casino, sure, give them time, but these are all poker veterans we're talking about trying to make a big splash with a big poker room. Epic Fail

i have to agree with some of the posters that this "soft" opening is sort of "too soft"

nothing blew me away on Saturday when i went down to the room too play

end of story, i was not very impressed & the player base does not expand, i.e., i just saw players that i have seen many times before at the Showboat and Bally's former room in tourneys and cash games
