As I am sure you are aware all casinos have the right to use the promotional fund to cover any promotions including overlays. However lets take a look at the facts for a minute:

Fact1: For the last two months I have paid out 30K more in promotions than I have taken in between the three properties.

Fact 2: I have increased the promotions for this coming month.

Fact 3: The new tournament schedule has $140,000.00 in Guarantees every week for a total of $560,000.00 in Guarantees for the month.

Fact4: There is no way we take in even a fraction of that monthy.

But since you created your account just to ask this question I am sure you already knew the answer and just wanted to cast a shadow on the tournaments (RM).

When is the first tournament? Will you be hosting any tournaments this Thursday or Friday?

The 10/20 OE players have basically been stealing the bbjp money from the Taj HE players all year because they do not contribute to the bbjp fund but have benefited the most by the distribution of those funds on most Fridays of the month. The 2-4-6 LHE and the no-limit Hold 'em players are aware of this theft of promotional funds question, even if you are not, and should start immediately placing the WWW feet to the fire to ensure the promotional funds are not stolen by a group not contributing to the funds. that way better deal you are talking about should not include a theft of the promotional funds the 10/20 OE do not contribute to...
I agree that those players who aren't paying into the promotional pool shouldn't be getting money out of it. However, I take strong issue with your characterizing them as thieves for doing so. Nobody is stealing anything.

As players, of course it makes sense for them to be taking advantage of whatever promotions are being offered to them.

That you and I and a lot of others feel that these promotions shouldn't be given to them in the first place, because they aren't paying into the pool, is a legitimate, issue. I think that it is clear that players who aren't paying into the BBJ fund (and this includes tournament players) shouldn't be getting money out of it. That this has happened is a definite turn off for me.

Not putting money into the pool should mean getting no money out of the pool.

I say this as someone who has played the 10/20 OE game in the past and hopes to in the future. Quite happily and with no BBJ drop, thank you. And no expectation of getting promotional money out of the fund. But better believe that if I qualify for it, I'll take it!

Let's just please look at the issue, and dispense with the name calling. Thank you.

Lee

Its not the players that are thieves, but the limited liability corporation. It happens three days a month @ a joint one mile from the WWW. So that three days a month hold 'em players watch a substantial portion of their bbjp dollars Disappear into the pockets of stud and omaha players ᤾(who make no contribution to the bbjp) The corporation is liable. The players merely serve as innocent individuals who received the stolen goods. I have played at CET properties because they limit this theft. If they begin giving the bbjp funds to omaha or tnmt. Players, who do not contribute to the promotional Funds, l have another decision to make.

See post #70 for the new tournaments being offered. The structures are not posted yet but should be available by print out at in the poker room in the very near future, or you could call to get details. See Bravo for the room number.

Same here!

They will say that they give you rakeback. But unless you come in on a given THURSDAY you are out of luck. If you work Monday-Friday and play on the weekends you are getting screwed.

Why not allow players to cash their rakeback rebate at anytime?

Allow folks to cash in rake back at any time
A very sensible idea and therefore discarded from consideration by CET managers long ago.
For those of you cash game players. Who have not been paying
Very close attention two points of interest: (1) the rake back has been
Substantially reduced for the players with no life who play over two hundred
Hours A month and also for those players who play less than 50 (2) can anyone find the date of the free-roll in march?
Room should be open by 5 or 6 am Thursday as soon as the cash game boxes
Are emptied the staff. Will move over, and if breakfast is served, i'll be there too

Breakfast! Yum! I'ld forgotten about this aspect, but I guess this means no more of those awesome breakfast sandwiches we could get from Six. One of the best deals in town, if not the best, when it comes to breakfast. Pastrami & eggs, with potatos, for like $6 or something.

Oh, well, I'm sure that the new room will be great, and am looking forward to seeing it. Won't be immediately though - heading off on a vacation for a little while.

I agree that Rakeback should be cashable at any time, sometimes Wednesday is a bit tough for folks. However, the rakeback date has been the same date as the freeroll which has helped with planning in the past.

Its a shame to see the decrease in rakeback, as this was one of their best promotions, and rewarded regulars. Not a good choice by CET as far as I'm concerned.

The March freeroll was cancelled due to and issue with the gaming commission. It is being reinstated in April and will take on a survivor structure like in February where the top 50 players remaining each receive $600.

Changes to the rakeback promotion as of March 1st:

Play 1-49 hours, collect $5; Play 50-79 hours, collect $50; Play 80-99 hours, collect $100; Play 100-149 hours, collect $150; Play 150-199, Collect $200; Play 200+, collect $250. Rakeback vouchers distributed on the second and fourth THURSDAY of each month.

Seems from the article they will be encouraging simultaneous live and online play. Personally I think thats great, but I predict a lot of issues with people complaining about it slowing down or taking away from the live game.

I hope there will be some type of space for players to simply play online with a secure connection. Although it may be an issue when it comes to cash games most likely any 2 players in the room will be blocked from sitting at same table. (while staying at borgata during winter open , i had a hard time getting a seat at any cash game because of same ip address rule). Don't know if there's a legit solution to this.

^^^ personally, i happen to prefer playing against these multi-tasking super-heroes at the table bcz the online games move so much faster with so many more hands per hour, they always seem to be much more involved in their ipads and pay very little attention to the live game...their focus at the table then becomes only on their cards and rarely on the table dynamics...from my experience, this adds a huge advantage in reading these players...this of course is just mho...

Thanks for the info. The comps sound intriguing.

Do you know if the extra $1/hour from Mon-Fri is on top of the Tuesday 10x bonus? Also sounds like the 10x bonus requires an additional Thursday visit.

Yea, was wondering if that was a typo or not. For the 10x on Tuesdays, you also have to swipe on Thursday?

Yea, its a typo. Was a Thursday promotion at first but was moved to Tuesdays starting this month, Feburary. Guess I missed the additional change.

And, yes, the bonus comps are on top of the 10x rate earned on Tuesday. Goes up to $150, $1/hour for each hour played on a weekday.

ACDan - Is there something -- room comp-wise -- that can be done for weekend players from NYC?

Thanks.
