Anyone have a recommendation for a man's haircut in AC? Not looking for a barber but instead a scissor cut at a salon. Had one at Borgata last time I was there. Kind of a mess, though. Thanks.

What are the regular stud games running in AC these days?

About the only two places that run stud these days in AC are the Taj and Borgata. At the Taj it isn't regular and doesn't always run. I don't know about Borgata. On the weekends at the Taj you can pretty much always find a 1-5 Stud game or a 5/10 stud game. But I don't know about higher than that though. Although they do spread it, just don't know what stakes (maybe 15/30 Stud) or how often it runs.

They almost always have 20/40 Stud at Taj, sometimes the lower limits. They often have 20/40 and 75/100 stud at Borgata, especially weekends.

Dang it all - can't a guy get any sleep around here these days without people yelling and waking him up?!

As for where to get a haircut, is this really a question? Harrah's has a good spa, so does Showboat. On Mondays, Showboat has a special deal on men's haircuts - $19 if my memory serves. I've used both and had no problems. Friendly, efficient, good service - what more could one ask for?

The Harrah's AC thread? Maybe - 'cause it started there. But then almost nobody would get to read this. Same thing for the AC Regional thread.

So, here it is - pending being moved by our resident "tyrant". (Seriously, Rapini, if you think that this belongs elsewhere - feel free to relocate.)

It started back on May 9th. A Monday night, at Harrah's in A.C. The 2/5 table, to be precise - table 33. I'm in the 9 seat, she's in the 5 seat.

I join the game, and an attractive brunette is noticeable. Not so much because of her undeniable good looks, as her obvious intelligence and fun-loving banter with the dealer. There something about a smart-ass lady that I find very attractive. Also, for me, intelligence is a huge turn-on.

I was definitely interested, and was trying to figure out how to get her attention. (Turned out that she had already noticed me, but wasn't giving off any clues.)

After a little while, I'm opening a hand with a raise. The button called, as did lady 5 seat, who was the big blind.

There was a flop - she bets, I raise, the button folds, she calls.

There was a turn - she checks, I go all in ('cause she's short stacked) and she calls.

River is a brick, and my aces hold up.

I thought that she'ld rebuy, but no - she leaves the table. I jump up to say hi and try and ask her out (ok, maybe not the best timing.....)

For some odd reason, she declines - and I'm greeted back at the table with a lot of laughter and "why didn't you fold AA if you were going to ask her out?",
"Don't stack off a gal and then ask her out.", "You can't play poker and try to get a date at the same time.", etc.

Next day, I'm heading to the Diamond Club for lunch - and she's in line to get in. I grab a table near the front where I know she'll have to come by, and when she does I ask her to join me.

She suggests we go to a table farther in the back of the room - Ok by me!

1/2 hour later - we'd exchanged phone numbers and email addresses.

5 months later - we're very much in love and spending all the time we can together. Thus, my lack of frequency on 2+2, among other things.

Where is this going? We don't know, yet - but we're having a great time together and definitely have become a source of amusement at every table we play at.

Love and happiness can be found at the poker table - we're proof.

I know both parties involved and yes they are together. The poker community can be a small community, so if the man wants some privacy let him have it. He posts his name on here, but to my knowledge she is not on 2+2 and she might want to keep her anonymity. We should all respect that.
