your post is a little confusing, if you're asking where to stay out of a casino on atlantic, I think people like howard johnson and the days inn. Might want to try the irish pub, definitely simple, but heard good things.

Pretty much all the places in absecon are okay, but it's like $25ish each way for a cab so you'll need a DD.

Saturdays are ALWAYS $$$ in AC. In season you probably wouldn't even get a rate period.

You are probably thinking of the Wild Wild West over at Bally's. They had some $1 blackjack tables. Back when they had table games at all..... No more, all gone.

I've never seen craps for less than a $5 minimum in AC.
Wow, you'd have to be crazy to play that BJ. I'd rather play $10 BJ than pay that.

What about the Atlantic Club? Isn't their new thing to cater to low rollers? Anyone know the typical limits there or is it not even worth it?

Thanks for the help in this thread too, to those who are answering.

I definitely am NOT recommending that you play the $1 BJ! I want to make that absolutely clear. I'd recommend playing $25 pai gow before I'd recommend $1 BJ.

Unfortunately, I have no info on Atlantic Club.

Just book the revel room for Sat online, and have it combined with your comped Friday room when you check in.

Thanks, I saw some older posts that they had this, but wasn't sure if they still did.

I want to get my wife to roll with me to get some of that virgin roller luck going and I'm thinking the only way she will is $3 or maybe $5. I can't wait to try out the sucker fire bet too. Don't have it Seneca Niagara, which is my home casino.

Are you going to play any poker at the revel? If so, have you tried contacting Frank the pokerroom manager there to see what he can do?

Booking anything on the boardwalk on short notice is going to be bad value. Try the stockton seaview. If they are booked, do not stay in motel. Best western or holiday inn 2miles outside at white horse pike have $100 rate for saturday which seems quite good for saturday.

Good luck

Not to my knowledge.

There are only 10? rooms right now, if you're looking to compile daily tourny info or something it should be either on their websites or the bravo app.

This was ultimately most helpful post, especially w proximity and Saturday rate. Luckily my gf was able to call revel a few times a day and be a little annoying and able to change the reservation to get fri/sat rooms both comped. Rather green to everything but appreciate the tips. Hopefully will just plan better going forward!

Hey guys, I'm making a move to Atlantic City, for a short period of time. I'm ideally looking for a place to share with a poker player. I need a furnished room and can pay rent up front.

I'm in a situation where I can live in AC for a while and grind. I am 29, male, clean, and pretty laid back. I've been playing for about 8 years and am looking to play full time now.

If anyone has a room to rent out or share, please pm me

Never visited the vegas site so don't know if it compares, and haven't actually visted this site for a long time either so no clue if it's still even up, but: acpokerguide.com

There's almost never any posts there anymore and the tournament listing hasn't been updated in over 2 years.

I was in AC a few days ago and I stayed at Bally's. I went with a friend of mine and we initially got a single king bed to cut down on costs as much as possible. When we got in late on Sunday night, we were upgraded to a two bedroom room in the Garden tower without even asking. When we got into our room we were so pleased with the cleaniness/layout of the room. We stayed in the room for two nights for a total of $83 (for both Sunday and Monday).

All we played was the 1-1 at Bally's and I must say I had a ball. For the 40 hours I was in AC, I probably played poker for a full 25-30 hours no kidding. I got very little sleep but luckily had gotten a bunch of sleep the days before the trip. The poker room at Bally's was great (this was my second time here). The players were pretty decent, only some donks here and there, which made the game a little tougher but enjoyable. Also the dealers and managers at the poker room at Ballys are great. Very nice people all around and very professional.

Just thought I would share my experience with Bally's.

You can sleep when you get home!

Glad you had a good time and thanks for letting us know your experience, especially pricing and the quality of the game you played.

Hey everyone. I managed to get a fairly cheap room at the borgata next Thursday night ($59!) using rewards points so ill be coming down for an overnight stay for the first time in a long time. It's mainly a solo poker trip, but I do plan on having some beers and enjoying a little nightlife while I'm there. I'm primarily a tourney player, so he Borg seems like my #1 poker option to play sit n gos along with the daily tourneys.

However I also checked out revel when it first opened and I loved their poker room and the style of the hotel casino itself. From what I'm reading, the casino bars actually have some action in them compared to most places, which is he kind of place I'm looking to socialize in. I'm a 30 year old so I'm not trying to be going to a club or anything, I'm hoping to find a couple good bar options with a slightly older (meaning not all 21-23 year olds) crowd that isn't a club but with a good vibe where I might be able to talk to some attractive ladies...

So my questions: is it worth getting a cab over to revel in the evening for the nightlife knowing I'd need to make it back to the Borg at some point?

Does revel have any good tournies on a thurs night or Friday during the day? How is their cash game on a thurs night?

Is the Borg on a thurs night a decent option for nightlife? Assume Mur Mur and the other club are not an option. Any decent regular bars that would have some decent ladies?

What are the craps minimums like at Borg and revel on a thurs night?

Knowing what it seems like I'm looking for, any other advice on places to go in AC in general???

I'm just trying to find a fun Thursday night alone in AC for a 30 year old single guy... Including some good craps and poker... Thoughts!!?!
