That 777 was no DEAL

I went there for breakfast and they told me that coffee was not included for $7.77.

If I wanted coffee, it would cost another $2.00.

I ordered the steak and eggs usually with water. The steak was a bit leathery but what do you expect for $7.77? Free coffee (or any drink) in the poker room....

Frankly I thought it was the best deal in AC when it was running....

I still enjoy McDonald's drive thru whether I win or get coolered at 4am. The convenience to the expressway is great...and who doesn't like 20 nuggets at 4 in the morning on the ride home?

if you go off the boardwalk to Pacific Ave, if I remember correctly most of those pizza joints are open 24 hrs. and the Chelsea Pub is open 24.

What have you learned from reading this thread and from searching the forum? Start with that and then if you have any specific questions let us know.

Is the showboat a decent place to stay? Got two free rooms there and thinking about staying in AC for two days before I go to delaware for work.

I also want to play at Borgata so is my play to drive over there or are there shuttles?

showboat hotel is nice. all the casinos hotel rooms are decent. only borgata, caesars, trump plaza, taj mahal chairman tower and revel are fancy. but any others are still decent.

you can either take jitney shuttle to borgata for 2.25 a trip or drive over and park for $5 (but you'll get free parking on your return to showboat by showing your parking receipt from borgata... or vice versa and take your parking receipt from showboat and show it to borgata). if you got the car and aren't going to be drinking, i'd probably just drive over. simpler and you don't have to wait for a jitney. if you are going to be drinking take a jitney, still a good option.

Which 2-5 or 5-5 games in AC (if any) allow players to buy in for 200bb, or up to the largest stack?

I think Revel and PARX in PA 2-5 games are max buy $1000.

Golden Nugget has unlimited buy-in unless they changed that. That was at $1/2 but I cannot imagine that $2/5 would have a cap if $1/2 doesn't.

Is there a particular casino that consistently has PLO running?

Try the Borgata. Also use the Bravo app (online or smartphone) to find these games in AC...

Mid-summer, BBJ is over 750K but it feels like the fervor isn't there.

With the changes the casinos made to minimum qualifying hands and the large reserves being taken out high BBJs and low frequency of hits have become the norm. Players have become used to seeing big jackpot numbers that rarely are won.

This is a record high. I was expecting at least a ton of chasers playing 2/4. And no, never before in my memory have all casinos had their jackpots high at the same time.
