If you can get mgm platinum ocean tier matched me to their second highest level last week.
Needs to be a new ocean account or an account inactive for the last year.

I tier matched my Diamond with MGM - I didn't realize I could do that if it expired shortly. My Diamond expires the end of this month, but they said that was fine.

The only difference is MGM expires at June 30 now. I'm not sure why it only goes until June 30th but it's better than nothing. Could I Match my Gold with Diamond again? Any other perks of casinos I could do this with?

I normally would play video poker to get Diamond - but that could sometimes be expensive.

Is it me or are AC hotel weekend rates now so high that it's cheaper to fly to Vegas?

The rates are high enough that I won't bother going to AC until they start comping again.

Having said that, airfare for Vegas is also way up, as are room rates in Vegas. I'm probably going to start going there less too.

Time for a new hobby I guess!

I agree but I'm more willing to splurge on a nice room at the Wynn in Vegas then shell out $$$ for a standard room in ...AC.... in the winter.
Are there really people out there spending $300+ for just a standard room at Harrah's? or $700+ at Caesars in AC PER NIGHT?

Is the parking the same way Vegas casinos are? I have diamond plus with Caesar's and gold with MGM and wondering if parking is free or not? Will be playing at Borgata and staying at Tropicana or Harrah's.

Thanks

Its free for you. Everyone with Platinum or above at Caesars properties gets free parking. If you are going to play at Borgata, you are best off staying at Harrahs (if you are getting comped at all Caesars properties). Much quicker drive.

Does online play count as an event to keep your comp dollars active? I have a bit if $$ on. My MGM rewards card set to expire in a month or two

Yes. The email I got recently said just earn at least one Tier Credit to keep my Rewards Points from expiring, and "Earn when you wager & play from home with BetMGM" was one of the "three easy ways" to do that. (Use the MGM Mastercard and stay, play and dine at MGM retorts were the others.)

Under $50, your only real options are the motels along White Horse Pike in Absecon. Go through orbitz book a few weeks out at least, you’ll find plenty under $50, plus start to get orbitz discounts. Uber to borgata is usually ~$20.

The experience is an inconvenient, dirty, and sketchy as you might imagine but when times are tough the tough get goin

I just answered a question for you regarding taxes on large gambling winnings, and you're looking to stay in a hostel? LOL Wishful thinking I guess.

Get a Caesars reward card from Harrah's (or Trop). Perhaps you can sign up online. I tried to find out what it would cost to stay there during the week but couldn't because they're willing to comp me four nights (they charge $50 for the fifth night). And I rarely play there and have their lowest tier (but I did have Diamond last year). There were taxes and resort fees. It was a total of $157 for four nights, which is less than $40 per night. My experience from when I actually needed rooms was that you could get some reasonable rates at Harrah's during the week. On the weekends it costs more, but so do the roach motels on Route 30 (and Harrah's has roaches too), typically over $100. Staying in AC beats the Absecon motel thing, and is safer/cleaner. The rates were the same for Harrah's and Trop (and Caesars--but no poker). Forget about the Borgata for rooms. If you want to play poker at the Borgata, stay at Harrah's and drive or walk over. Those three are the only hotels with poker. You may have other inexpensive options if you play slots (Caesars, Ocean, Hard Rock, Resorts, GN, Bally's).

I went to the harrahs website without logging in. Jun Sun-Th ranges from $39-69. Fri-Sa are $200-429. July goes up to $132-$190 and $294-417. ymmv

also, resort fees and taxes will increase these figures

The resort fees and taxes are about another 39 on top of it

If you stay in the CHEAPEST room for this Friday & Saturday nights at Harrah's, the total bill is $650.
This seems....... pricey to me.
But maybe I'm just cheap?

I mean I'd rather sleep on the roof than pay that for 2 nights so call me cheap too!

Well, yeah, you play a ton of slots. That's cheating

If you are staying at CET properties a lot, it may make sense to pay the $300 for the Founder's Card. You can use it to upgrade to Diamond, and it pays for itself after 9 nights.

Hello!! I am planning to go to AC for a day or two to try the cash games there (1-2 or 1-3). I was wondering where is the best place to play and if you know some cheap place to stay near the poker rooms.
