They charge you to watch a game on a television? Really?

If I’m not mistaken I think they make you spend a certain amount on food or drinks.

the plush chairs at wild wild west sports book are a $30 fee for the game, not credited towards food/drink. the couches/tables/fan caves might be different.

Do you get the seats comped if you are a diamond or bet a certain amount?

Draft kings at resorts is the best. Small, and cozy, best betting machines, 50 feet from the boardwalk.

Staying at the Ocean Resort as they gave me 3 free nights - I was playing $25 a spin video poker and racked up some tier credits (It was a month ago, but they changed all the pay tables this month). Nice hotel, but not really fan of it. I wanted to stay and play video poker all week, but they got rid of most of the games worth playing, so I won't give them much action. The Borgata and Harrahs have better pay tables, so not really worth playing here. It's too expensive to play a bad pay table at $25 a spin.

Another thing I don't like is having to take 2 elevators just to get my room, and it's really far away from the casino.

Probably won't stay again as it's a 3.5 hour drive to get here, and Borgata comps me just as many nights, and I like that place better. If they bring back decent pay tables on video poker I'd give them some action.

Hardrock also gave me 3 free nights so I may consider trying them out as well. They didn't have great pay tables ether, but i'll give them a little action, just nothing crazy.

Any MTT series upcoming? Or is it just the Borgata dailies for now?

Does anyone know if Hard Rock is matching tiers for existing customers or if there's a way to get free parking midweek? Staying over there Tuesday through Thursday this week and I have a Caesars Diamond card and Borg Gold card if that can help. Thanks! Haven't been to Hard Rock for like 2 years, but they somehow decided to still comp me (nice of 'em - I know).

Hard Rock only matches tier for new members. Pay $10 parking going in. Ask for a parking voucher at front desk which is good for the days of your stay.

So, if I were to check in and get the parking voucher first and park there later, I could conceivably park for free?

There are a lot of Philly/South Jersey residents who own condos by the ocean in AC or houses in Brigantine and only live there during the Summer. So, if you are fine living and playing in AC say January through May, you can get a nice play pretty cheaply. If you rent a place in AC proper, limit your search to the condos right by the boardwalk. Most of downtown is shall I say a bit rough.

There certainly are, but probably not the lifestyle I'd choose. If I personally wanted to live close by a poker spot it would be near Parx, South East Florida or Vegas. LA is good, but probably a lot pricier

Texas also a solid option, as well as Pacific NW

There are some really nice condos on the boardwalk. Not sure I would want to live in AC like others said. It seems really sketchy at night due to poverty. It’s really sad bc AC has some really nice shopping/ restaurants.

I feel living there during the winter would suck also. The summer is nice but you get a lot of tourists which is probably not a positive (good for soft poker games but annoying otherwise).

If you're considering long term living plans, probably worth factoring in the changes likely to come if they move forward with casino licenses in NYC and/or North Jersey.

Without knowing your finances obviously, try looking in either Brigantine, or Ventnor as closest nicer areas both within a couple miles of AC
