Any idea if Trop opened their poker room today or when they will officially open it? We need some poker on the boardwalk. Thanks.

My first visit to AC was a nice tournament score at the Taj so I have a soft spot for the decrepit place.

I just looked on the twitter account, no mention of it anywhere.

They're probably deciding to remove the cages and don't have an exact opening date as of yet. I'm sick of the marina you're cooped up all day but at the boardwalk you're free to move around more and not controlled by horrible comp system changes. I just hope the "big game"s go regularly.

The explanation is actually simpler - they put the announcement out on Twitter before they told the dealers. I’m good friends with a couple of them and in contact with many. Not a single one of them knew that May 14 was the reopening date. (Dipce says he knows of a dealer who did know, so it’s not a case of nobody being told).

Dealers don’t have work schedules yet. So Trop had to take down the tweet. The tweet was up there yesterday but it was taken down a few hours later.

Also, it seems that quite a few dealers that Trop thought would come back declined the offer. Trop might not have enough dealers coming back to reopen until they hire new ones. Note - that is “might not.” Nobody seems to know for sure.

My first ever live poker game was a winning session of 2/4 limit there…I think two of the old Taj staff at still at Parx.

Go to Cape May, The Lobster House.

It's my favorite restaurant ever. Cheap ass seafood

Only problem is, Cape May is a far drive from AC - like about an hour away, without traffic!

Oh yeah, not saying it's easy. But it's worth it. I usually get 4lb lobsters for like $55 when I go. All the food is super cheap for a place like that

For 2/5 you probably just need to drive to borgata and scout a good soft game on the weekends. Plenty of pickings on the weekend.
