No shot. CET will lose 99% of their customers

Some places already have an isolated 7stars only lounge, separate from a diamond lounge. For those that don't, maybe they are building a separate 7stars lounge.

But I agree with YF2M -- eliminating all diamond lounges in exchange for only 7stars would be suicide.

The few times I have visited the Caesars and Harrah's diamond lounges, I was not impressed with the food at all. So not a big deal to me, but they always seem busy. A lot of people love free food, no matter the quality.

I love free food. When I matched my Borgata card, I was excited to check out Harrah's lounge.

My review: It feels like a very dated retirement home with food that I image comes from the same cafeteria as the local prison. I am not a picky eater, and I still left most of the things on my plate because it was just lousy. The frozen section at Walmart is a multitude better.

After exploring some of the other casinos in town, I am surprised any place aside from Borgata, Hard Rock, and Oceans gets any business. All the other dumps are just squeezing their residual customers as they crumble into disrepair. It makes perfect sense that AC visitors are going down every year when I check out most of these casinos.

Anyone know which hotel has the best rewards program for poker players, in terms of comps, free rooms, etc?

Dude search the threads,

But Borgata gives best for comp dollars and free rooms with about 18+ hours of 2/5 and higher play average per week. Need to make sure your daily average is 6+ hours in a timed game to get weekends.

I see Golden Nugget has a 10/20 OE running on a Wednesday night. Any idea how often the game runs? I’ll be in town Monday night curious if I can expect it to be going.

Spence vs Garcia fight..... will I be able to watch this at a sports book in AC? It’s a PPV event (boxing)? Not sure if they televise ppv events but hoping a sportsbook will

Curious the best hotel to stay for a Sunday grind? I've been reading a lot of reviews that 1) Borgata blocks WSOP.com; and 2) Harrah's internet is absolute ****. Thinking about Oceans but curious if anyone has any opinions. Thanks!

At least some of the space was (supposed to be?) taken up by the expansion of the arena.

I've gone to AC for open week for MM for 15 years. Thursday/Friday we always go to dam good sports bar. Hmm Not sure what we wanna do this year, we expect the books to be pretty backed and no seating unless you are there at the crack of dawn. I know the dk sports book you can bet on the app and cash out your sports wagers at the Resorts so that is likely what I'll be doing.

If you guys like the dam good sports bar at the Trop, they just opened up their permanent sports book (partnership with William Hill). I haven't checked it out yet but here's more info:

Also, the sports book at Ocean is big and nice.

Ate at Chef Vola's for the first time last night and thought it was amazing. Have been coming down to AC for more than 25 years and only just recently learned of the restaurant so I was eager to try. It's Italian and like going to eat at grandmas for Sunday dinner in her basement. The restautant doesn't come up much in this thread either, which is kind of surprising. Anyway, my expectations were pretty high and surprisingly it did not disappoint.

Had dinner with my best bro dude and we got a seat upstairs which is essentially a closed in porch. It's a different experience than the main dining room downstairs which is loud, mostly windowless and tightly packed with diners. We started the meal off with the traditional chopped salad tossed with a light balsamic dressing. It has chunks of cheese and slices of salami and was overall delicious. We then each had one of their famous crabcakes. They're like the size of a softball (could certainly share 1 between 2 pep) and loaded with chunks of crab and set on some simple salad greens. The filler was light and subtle and again the whole thing was delicious. For our main we both had their "famous" or "signature" lamb on a bone. I had the full chop with the shiitake mushrooms and he had the butterflied portion parmigiana style. We had some asparagus in butter and garlic on the side. They were both amazing. Tender, juicy and mouthwatering. Hard to say which was better as they were both prepared to perfection. Just a matter of personal preference I guess. Ended the meal with a slice of the Chambourd creme pie. It comes on an oreo crust and a plop of whipped cream on the side. It was a great ending.

The bill was 225 with tip, so it's not cheap despite being byob. We brought a California Cab with us that we had throughout. But if you get a chance and want something different, give it a try. Highly recommend

Seems to be decent value given everything you got and the high quality. Thanks for the report!

Worth mentioning this place is cash only and very difficult to get reservations, so if you know you want to go book as far in advance as possible

fwiw. i think vola is very medicore and over priced. its definitely not bad just dont think it sets itself apart and the basement/inside seating is a mess imo.

I suggest cafe 2825 for a good veal chop. Same issue with reservations, but if you go early or late and willing to sit at bar, you're ok.
