comment: I assume this means

execs at Golden Nugget, Caesar's, and MGM, met in Las Vegas
on Friday to decide on the regs, which attorneys in
Las Vegas or New Jersey are writing the fine print for this weekend.
the AC casinos would then present the regs to the NJ

the regs can be approved by the Attorney General

In my opinion
Calling it a conflict of interest is
A huge stretch
because
he wont be on the court and
gaming regulators and
federal agents and
league officials will be
all over their ass
monitoring
what is going on.

I can understan not
allowing bets on the
Rockets games but
other than that
just follow LV guidelines

A few questions about staying at the Borgata:

1) Is there any parking charge for guests? Any way to mitigate or eliminate such charges?
2) What kind of poker rate is available? Specifically is there any kind of rate related to the Summer Poker Open coming up?
3) Can you apply comps accrued by playing poker to a hotel stay? 1:1?
4) What kinds of mixed cash games other than stud hi are likely to be running at mid to higher stakes?

A couple things about me: I haven't played there in a couple years and have only ever played poker there (no pits).

Call and ask for the poker room host.

Sign into MLife rewards online to check your specific comps. You can use express comp dollars on room charges. If you go on the weekend, 10/20 O8 may be running and I doubt you'd want to play 80/160 mixed. There is a 10/20 OE that runs at Harrah's. That's really just about it in AC as a whole for mixed games.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what you mean by "express" comp dollars, though? I'll try to find if there's any info for me online.

I actually would consider playing 80-160. Do you know what games they typically play?

Nevermind re: express comps, I did some research. Here's another question, though, looks like Borgata's resort fee now includes wifi access for every room; can someone verify? Previously you'd either have to pay extra for it or go down to the lobby. Maybe there was just never a resort fee before.

Those of you with Borgata
Questions should
1) read the FAQ on the first
Page of the Borgata Casino thread
& 2) ask your questions on the Borgata
Page, many of your questions are asked
And answered many times in any one month...

See,
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, NJ) -- FAQ in OP, updated 2018.04.18

1) Yes, there's a parking charge. $5-$10 depending on day of the week I believe. If you are staying for the entire week, park in the beginning and then just leave at the end, you will pay $5 or $10 total (not $5 or $10/per day). Parking charge is assessed upon exit, not entry.
The way to avoid the charge is to have a premium card. If you have a premium card from another casino, such as Vegas MGM or Total Rewards (Harrahs/Caesars), you can visit the Rewards desk, they will likely match your card status for a year and you will have free parking.
2) Borgata always has a poker rate during the Opens. But those rates are not much of a discount (typically like $89 during the week and like $200-$250 on weekends). If you had any kind of play before, you will get better rates than that. If you plan to play high, call the poker host and they might be able to make some special arrangements for you. If you just play mid-limit games, ordering via the website will be your best bet.
3) Yes, 1:1
4) Check out bravo in the upcoming weeks for a good idea of the games that are running. Generally mix games only run on weekends in any volume...
But if you like PLO, 2 5 PLO will run every day.
P.S. The resort fee includes gym and Wifi. Make sure you bring sneakers, as they are required to use the gym.

Sports betting in New Jersey: Governor Phil Murphy signs bill into law

https://www.google.com/amp/abc7ny.co...o-law/3590359/

No sports betting yet at the Borgata, Resorts,
Caesar's,
Or Golden Nugget. Caesar's operator
(After checking with a supervisor)
Said they don't know when they'll be
Up and running. The Borgata Racebook
Declined to comment beyond confirming
They aren't taking these bets at this time.

See, Borgata

On a completely unrelated note, Delaware Park is already taking Vegas Style sports bets since June 1st. Then again, they already have an established framework having taken parlay bets for years.

What are Atlantic City casinos plans for sports betting?
Press of Atlantic City - 16 hours ago
https://www.google.com/amp/www.press...56749.amp.html

Apparently due to Hard Rock Casino's
Involvement with the Miami
Dolphins...their sports betting may be limited...
I did some sniffing around at Resorts yesterday
And was told they expect to be ready
For the NFL season, possibly sooner.

In other positive AC news, Atlantic and
Pacific ave north of Tennessee have been
Without traffic for two years. But now
Despite the dead Zombie, apocalyptic,
Trash can panorama, hundreds of
Cars are streaming to work at 7 am and
Leaving at 4 pm as Hard Rock prepares
To open. We've also received the Summer
Allowance and allotment of sex workers,
Hustlers, grifters, con men,
Class 2 AC police officers,
and petite drug dealers, so things
Are shaping up nicely!

Borgata sports wagering starts 6/14 at 11am, Monmouth Park starts at 10:30am. Once the college football and NFL season is in gear the poker room should really benefit. You'll get players who are stuck and steaming from football trying to win their money back in the poker room and vice versa. When players are in poker games trying to sweat games on TV they make a lot of mistakes.

There's a Borgata thread...you might get better info there. My guess would be that as long as the Racebook is the temporary Sportsbook, or at least until they get full sports betting operations in place, it'll close in the wee hours like the Racebook does.

In other news, CCC is meeting Wednesday afternoon and Thursday to consider Ocean Resort's license application.

Presumably at least when the Sportsbook proper opens, they'll be ready to take bets at all hours when events on the other side of the world dictate.

Looks like I'm spending time (week) near Cape May starting Saturday. What are the best options for poker between there and AC? I play 1/2 through 5/10 NL, RxR and 2/5 PLO at times. I assume there's at least something going on every day ... 'all day'. GL

I will check for replies from the road .. Hershey Friday and Saturday ..

Borgata, Tropicana, and Harrah's in Atlantic City are where you will want to play poker. There's no poker in NJ outside of AC.

90% of the action in AC is at the Borgata, easy to get to from around Cape May, about an hour drive. Everywhere has 1/2 NL, anything else will be at the Borgata.

Watch out at Pacific and New York Ave.

1st accident this morning
Took out stop lights.

2nd accident this afternoon
Between Jitney (why can't
They drive under 50 mph on Pacific?)
And small car.

They need someone directing traffic.
Jitney drivers need to slow down
And stop at intersection.

So both new hotel/casinos are opening up soon.

Ocean Resort in the old Revel and Hard Rock in the old Taj Mahal.

Does anyone know if either will have poker?
