For me it's super convenient when I don't drive since i live two blocks from there.
Any idea if you get the comps for only a 1 way? If so, I might take it there and NJ Transit on the way back.

On Greyhound and (bygone) Academy, the deal is a round-trip ticket. One-way tickets wouldn't come with the comp coupon. There's no need to *use* the return, but you have to buy it to get the package. I'd guess the Chinatown busses are the same (and they might not even sell a one-way).

the difference in price between round trip and one way is less than the comp you get

Yeah, I know, just curious if they give the same comps if you only get a one way.

At one point I heard Hard Rock in Atlantic City was going to have a poker room at another point I heard they weren't. I would think any dealer at The Borgota would know for sure because they would have to know employees who would be taking a job at the Hard Rock if there was one. The website doesn't mention a poker room nor did the casino president talk about one in his presentation a few weeks ago. As far as the Ocean Resort there is very little about what is going to be there other than some restaurants on their website.

Ocean Resort is rumored to be having a small poker "area" consisting of 8 tables. It will not be where the old room was.

Hard Rock is NOT having a poker room, at least not when they open, but that could change in the future. However, it is doubtful.

Ocean getting it's dancers ready. Not a bad benefit package if you consider they will pay for housing and you get to spend the summer on the beach.

I am really surprised the Hard Rock isn't going to have a poker room. I guess no one wants to compete with The Borgata when it comes to poker.

Are you sure the Hard Rock is not going to have a poker room. Just watched the license hearing that was yesterday. Listen to what they said at 3:50 in the video. Sounds like they will have a poker room to me. "They Moved the Poker room"

They haven't posted for any poker jobs, have they?

The Taj poker room space was adjacent to the arena, which Hard Rock has said they're revamping and expanding...maybe he meant moving poker out of that space, without putting it somewhere else? "We re-did, we relocated, actually I should say we moved the poker room." Definitely some difficulty expressing what he actually meant.

No jobs have been posted and most people in the AC area casinos have confirmed that there will not be a poker room at Hard Rock which is kinda disappointing.

Perhaps he meant to say "We removed the poker room".

Yes, he realized that relocated was the wrong word so he corrected himself when he said, "...we relocated -- or actually removed, I should say -- the poker room."

Does the Ocean casino have a casino license?

From poker play only, I get comped rooms at Borgata. What other AC casinos are generous with their rooms for poker players (and still have reasonable traffic, not just a few grayhairs playing like rocks to get free buffet.)

Suggestions?

Doesn't look like it. Must be something for CCC's June meeting.

Not surprising, if they've only just considered Hard Rock, which has been preparing for a lot longer.

Is any room anywhere as generous to poker-only players as Borgata?

Borgata has more than half of the poker traffic in town. Harrah's has about half of the rest.

I have an offer from Tropicana
two days a week.

(A) I've never tried to use it
So i don't know the
Price of a comped room

(B) or if its even available.

Tropicana treats it's
Gray haired players
With dignity and respect
Despite our memory problems,
Difficulties finding our seats, etc
So I'm inclined to stick
With it, as dementia permits...

(C) the buffet for Mother's Day will be quite good

(D) the grey haired crowd plays from
10 AM to 10 pm

(E) young players play on
The graveyard shift and in the twlight
Hours...

(F) my offer saids: Comp rooms will not
Be deducted from your comp Dollar balance
Through 6/21/18. [ I don't know what
It means, but it sounds ominous.]

Great news for Atlantic City sports betting is off the leash, about time . Now you will see some houses make a move toward a book. this is what the Rock was waiting for be fore they made the investment into a Poker room and a sports betting room, coming in Aug. or Sept.
