I don't know how much it would cost to ride but the ferry would have at least a couple things going for it. It would still be faster than taking the train to AC, via Philly and I'm guessing a ferry ride down the coast would be a much more enjoyable ride than a bus down the parkway

Just how long does it take to get to AC from NYC on a bus?

Usually 2:20 to 2:45, depending on traffic, and what kinds of drugs the driver is on.

I agree that it would be more pleasant, but not everybody likes boats.

I like boats but wouldn't think that this high speed ferry would be very pleasant for hardly anyone who isn't willing to pay up for VIP tickets. I've taken them to/from Hong Kong & Macau, only 1 hour, but if it's choppy the ride is a bit longer & quite miserable

Yep. If would be near two hours , as sea streak goes from battery park to Atlantic highlands (exit 117) on parkway , takes almost an hour.

Aren't you allowed to gamble on a boat if you are 12 miles out? I think that'd be a big incentive cruise to AC and gambool the way there. That said I don't know how profit wise it'd be valuable. You'd have to charge basically nothing to get on the boat and have some sort of parking/pick up available. Otherwise it doesn't sound any easier or more efficient than bus.

No way any of this matters, once NJ quits screwing around and gets something open in north jersey it's game over for AC.

Depends on how much you're selling it for. Also, you'll have to repost in the Marketplace Forum because we don't allow financial transactions in LCP.

Is it me or has AC gotten incredibly expensive this summer. Almost every hotel is charging a minimum of $400 for a Friday or Saturday night!

They are milking it while they can before the demand dries up.

I didn't know the city had a customer service department.

It's called supply and demand.

I was kicked out of the Tropicana for having a backpack. They claimed that I could be carrying an explosive device. I said : " you should kick out all the women because they're carrying purses and you're discriminating against me because you're saying only men would carry bombs."

They just told me to leave.

You would think that with all the customers NOT COMING TO ATLANTIC CITY that they would be a bit more accommodating but they are merely exacerbating the situation.

No one gives two ****s about Atlantic city anymore. It's going to be gone in a few years, no one will go there to gamble anymore. PA is taking all their business.

It's not just an AC thing,a lot of casinos nowadays don't let you walk on the gaming floor with luggage, bags, backpacks etc.

Well, to be fair, it has been mostly men who have been ****ing up the entire planet with bombs and terrorism etc., so.

And furthermore, if you want to play in a real poker room(aside from Parx of course) then why aren't you playing at Borgata? They allow backpacks no questions asked. Unless you have a mean looking face? You don't have a mean looking face, do you?

But it's funny how you say "Noones playing in ATLANTIC CITY anymore!" If you search your Bravo app and you look at the biggest house in PA and the biggest house in AC, it looks as if it's:

PA: 34 (Parx)

AC: 51 (Borgata)

I don't even count most of the other poker rooms in PA cause most of them are nothing but **** holes. (There's a few in AC in which I could say the same.)

This was a general statement about Atlantic City as a whole as a place to gamble. Not specifically about the Tropicana as a place to play poker.

Even the Borgata, which is an MGM owned Casino has crappy service.
Atlantic city will eventually fall apart; Borgata might be it's shining star but it will definitely go down with the rest of them, even if it ends up being the last casino standing

Do you actually believe half the crap you spew? I've played across the country and no casino treats poker players better than the borgata and it's not close. It's fine not to like AC for whatever reason but saying the borgata "treats their players like crap" is a dumb statement and just shows your bias.

Currently:
All Philly area rooms: 31
All AC rooms on Bravo: 46

Maybe Chris Christie will close all the roads and bridges to keep everyone from leaving the Borgata and Atlantic city this Labor Day Weekend so he can keep people gambling

Borgata is owned by Boyd Gaming, not MGM. You just seem to be angry with the world. I've been at the Trop with a backpack on many occasions and have never had a problem. Maybe your attitude has something to do with it.
