Well it ain't gonna do you no good just because it's "smaller" if they ain't gonna be flying to where ya'll looking to go.

What's up with the new outdoor Festival Park at the Borgata?

Anyone know what the seating is like or about any of the upcoming performers? Pay? Free? Nah...nothing's free. But I'm curious..love outdoor concerts!

No chairs?

I'm out...and obviously too old if this is an issue. lol

If it was someplace "magical" or a place that I really enjoyed being(like NYC), then I'm sure I wouldn't mind forgoing the chair for the overall "experience".

No chairs, no booze, no drinks of any kind, no food...and this is all while being held in a parking lot to boot. Oh wait, I forgot, they have grass(and I'm not talking about the good kind).

Sounds so boring and just way too restricted, and imo, the last thing a concert should be, is restricted.

Ffs, you can't even have a beach ball.

Am I allowed to clap, or will that make too much noise?

I was down Saturday. You could see the show from the walkway to the casino grom surface area parking. They have that route the jittney goes blocked off so you can congregate there and see the show for a bit. Go back inside come back out.

Yeah and tbh, that's all it'd be worth to me($0).

I think it's half-assed, but I think it couldve been something really quite cool actually. If you're going to have that many restrictions, then at least offer it as a free concert.

Except for beach balls and glow sticks, the list of prohibited items is pretty much the same as any other concert venue. The Susquehanna Bank Center and Festival Pier sites say that low back chairs are permitted at select shows and you're allowed to bring in one bottle of water, but good luck trying to bring a cooler of beer and food into any concert venue. And btw, in my experience free concerts usually have much fewer, if any, restrictions.

My point really was, that, if you're not going to provide seating or allow people to bring their own chairs, then you should allow *something* on that list that I rattled off, no? I can see not wanting to open up a can of worms by allowing booze, but if I'm pony-ing up the $ for a show, then you better provide a hot dog, a glass of wine, a beach ball, or dare I say, a chair? Otherwise, as I said, make it a freebie.

I could be wrong, but I assume they sell food and drinks in there, just like any other venue. I agree that, since there are no seats provided, allowing people to bring in low chairs would make a lot of sense. I wonder how many ticket sales they're going to lose from people who don't want to stand for several hours, or sit on the ground.

If I had my druthers, I'd prefer the chair and a cocktail(and I actually don't mind skipping the food), but I would be ok with taking a blanket and sitting on the ground if everyone else(or the majority) was also doing the same.

Im sure I'll check it out at some point.

The #1 difference between LV and AC is that LV has an infrastructure that drives traffic year-round with its airport and conventions as well as its attractions.
There is also the issue of climate. Vegas in the winter is 50s-60s and dry, not too bad. AC in the winter is nasty raw and very windy with frequent coastal storms which are usually not snow but are anything but pleasant. Only in the summer and early fall does AC have nice weather that someone from another part of the country would want to visit. Conventions help with the off season but AC had those before casinos. The rest of the Jersey Shore just about closes up in the off season.

How many poker rooms are there currently in AC? Where does 2/5+ consistently run? Is Borgata still best?

Current rooms:
Borgata
Harrah's
Bally's
Tropicana
Golden Nugget

The Taj has announced plans to reopen their room by July 4 and Pokerstars plans to open a room at Resorts but it's been dragging through the approval process and who knows when or if that will happen?

As far as I know the Borgata is the only room to consistently offer more than 1/2 NL and 2/4 LHE

"Best" is subjective. Many people on here will say that Borgata is the best. It is a very nice room, but different people have different ideas about what they like in a room, so try a few of them and make up your own mind. Borgata does usually have more tables running than all the other rooms combined, so they must be doing something right.

Had WhiteHouse today, can confirm both the regular cheesesteak and chicken cheesesteak are both really good. Bread is the nuts, one of the best hero's bread out there imo.

I was kinda wondering the same thing! There were so many different rumors/stories of it reopening around the 4th of July weekend but there's really been no concrete news anywhere.

Surely some of the AC regular posters could chime in and let us know?

What ever happened to that dipce guy? Figured he'd know!

I can't tell you if the Taj will ever reopen another poker room, but I bet if they did a lot of those people who migrated over to the Borgata would all go back..

Don't get wrong, the Borgata blows the Taj away on so many different levels, but they don't give you as many comp $ per hour on some of the games like the Taj did; I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of those stud games go right back where they started---some people just like the Taj. I think to some, they just feel more at home there; who knows, maybe it's closer for them to drive to/walk to, maybe the dealers/floor people are friendlier(I would concur on that one), so you know, nothing is ever a slam dunk.

I think I'm leaning toward driving down Friday, but if I take the bus it'll take me to the Taj and I'll have a look around.

General question; had a guy tell me today he used to be a pro playing 75/150 NL at the Trop. About 2005-2008. Did such a game run? Could this even be possible?

Don't know about the trop running that game specifically but usually if someone says something stupid like that there is a 99% chance he is completely FOS
