Ahh, ok, thanks.

The governor just announced that they are indefinitely not going to have indoor dining so I'm going to have to cancel my trip anyway.

Casinos were also informed Monday that beverage service of any kind, including alcohol, would not permitted on gaming floors or indoor bars.

Borgata's response: we'll stay closed until we can
Serve wine and more wine and open the restaurants

Pause is the right standing, how bad do you need the drink when you throw the dice

The Borgata chose not to reopen under these conditions on July 2nd. No beverage service on the casino floor. Not just alcohol but any beverage. Soda, coffee, water all banned. No smoking. No indoor dining. Masks must be worn at all times. You will only attract the true hardcore gambler. Governor Murphy was going to allow indoor dining but because he saw a bunch of pictures of beach bars over the weekend with no one wearing masks he had enough. The other casinos are going to make a go of it. I just don't see how you can tell patrons they can't even have a cup of water while playing. If the citizens of NJ can comply with the mandatory masks rules at public venues over the next few weeks he will probably ease up on the restrictions. For now it's take it or leave it.

I also read a news report this morning saying that smoking was also banned at AC casinos, and that this played a further role in Borgata's further pausing their reopening. As well as saying that other casinos might wait to reopen as well.

If the smoking ban could be made permanent, that'd be great.

As far as I can tell, there is no poker anywhere in NJ or PA.

And the way Murphy and Wolf are, being very strict governors as well as cases rising again? I don't think there will be any poker in NJ or PA until sometime in 2021.

@WayneParryAC:
Sit down, far apart, and quietly lose your money: NJ banning smoking AND drinking AND eating in casinos when they reopen after months of virus shutdowns https://t.co/LuDazHf11U https://t.co/M7fs37Aw0Q

Only 4 players max for poker tables, essentially banning poker...

Are there even four players in AC who'd sit in a 4-max game?

(OK, maybe high-limit, but who's reopening a room just to run a table or two of a big game?)

I have seen heads up high limit games at night in Borgata (they don't tend to last long), but an AC casino is not likely to open a room to have four-handed tables. Late at night before the game was breaking on a weekend, I used to play 5/10 NL four handed in another casino if the game was good, but I wouldn't play it all day...

You'd be surprised how many 4 max tables will be going if that's the only available option. It won't be sustainable long term and lots of people will go broke within a month or two but the games will be there.

I wouldn't mind some 4 handed stud. I'd prob pass on 4 handed NL if the OMC's are still going to play like OMC's.

The OMCs start freaking out about having to play short-handed when there are nine at the table.

I’m curious if the casinos invest in the dividers like other casinos have if they will be able to get the games going to 7 max.

I’ve been driving down to Maryland Live for the last few weeks. It’s a perfect set up

Yep, you know I've been texting you about this lol.

Especially because Trop is about to become a CET property

Think you got that takeover buyout in reverse. Ceasars name likely to survive like Harrah has since that buyout.
