Because "promotions" is a word liberally applied to almost anything the casino wants it to mean, and because so little actually ends up in the jackpot itself, you should simply look at this as how much you get raked.
Think of it as a 14% minimum rake with a friendly $5 cap.
Taken | Cumulative | @ | % |
---|
1 | 1 | 3 | 33% |
1 | 2 | 5 | 40% |
1 | 3 | 10 | 30% |
1 | 4 | 20 | 20% |
0 | 4 | 29 | 14% |
1 | 5 | 30 | 17% |
0 | 5 | 37 | 14% |
0 | 5 | 100 | 5% |
0 | 5 | 200 | 3% |
($29,$37,$100 and $200 added for illustration.)
Any pot at between 30-37, or below $28 is subject to a rake as high as 40%.
Pots at $29 exactly and above $37 are subject to a rake of less than 14%.
