Think we should list it under PLO with a note explaining that it's actually spread?

Its been that way for as long as I can remember, and still nobody goes there.

But I do agree, Fort actually tries to add value, but like everyone else has said its all about location and theirs is the not low.

Last night @ Gila someone limped utg in 1/2. I raised to 10 and everyon folded. Dealer toseed me $3. Everyone though I was wierd for asking why.

They raked one dollar before the deal but the invisible chip still counts towards the rake. One limper therefore made the pot '6.' When I raised to 10 I actually called the limper and raised 8 more. There was now 8 imaginary dollars in the main pot which triggers the 2nd dollar of rake.

And I didn't tip.

LOL live pokerz
The casinos kill their own action. I might be a fish but I ain't a complete moran.
LOL live rake+tips

And...Fort McDowell had (past tense) the best tournament on Saturdays with their MegaStack... but they switched it to Sundays (incorrect move IMO) and I stopped going. Also now I believe I read it's a 50 with rebuys. Barf. I was (am) more than willing to make the drive... but why?

LOL casinoripoffs gg & gl

I was at The Fort the other day. Unless they're remodeling they've cut the poker room in half. I think that might actually be the case bec the wall looks permanent to me.

Jackpot (all promotions) drop:
1 preflop
1 at 30

rake:
1 at 5

Last time I was there, which was over a year ago, during cash game times they used 2-4 tables at the most and maybe double that during tournies. How many tables total are in that room? 20-30?

IDK but now it's closer to 10. They had 1 game when I peeked in while mom played the Wheel of Fortune. I think it's permanent.

Because "promotions" is a word liberally applied to almost anything the casino wants it to mean, and because so little actually ends up in the jackpot itself, you should simply look at this as how much you get raked.

Think of it as a 14% minimum rake with a friendly $5 cap.

TakenCumulative@%
11333%
12540%
131030%
142020%
042914%
153017%
053714%
051005%
052003%
($29,$37,$100 and $200 added for illustration.)

Any pot at between 30-37, or below $28 is subject to a rake as high as 40%.

Pots at $29 exactly and above $37 are subject to a rake of less than 14%.

yes the poker room has been cut down to about 10 tables, slots taking up the other half. why wast the real estate when they can't get more than 2 or 3 tables going outside of a tourney

Re: Arizona Poker Thread

spread limit.
2/3-300
is $2 small Blind $3 Big blind and you may bet a minimum of $3 to a maximum of $300 accordingly at any time.
Buy in at CAZ is $100 minimum with a $300 Maximum.

3/5-500
is $3 small Blind $5 Big blind and you may bet a minimum of $3 to a maximum of $500 accordingly at any time.
Buy in at CAZ is $300 minimum with a $1000 maximum.

Spread limit is generally played according to limit rules: I.E 3 raises per betting round and an all in raises of half or more reopens the betting if not yet capped.
