Just got back from a RT Tempe-LV [no sleep last night obv] using the normal route where each leg took just under 6 hours, for different reasons. Outbound getting delayed by valley traffic obv. Return started out by driving north!?
When you get there you think "Damn, did I just cross the dam?" You're at that small truck stop casino in a flash.
But pick your times carefully. LV NPR did a piece on how they didn't make the bridge long enough and there's a chokepoint in Boulder City at that stop light where the highway turns NW. The mayor said the entire town is gridlocked on peak hours back across the bridge. The scientist said the environmental impact studies to correct it will take about 10-15 years
