Played at CAZ last night. A few comments. I liked the new room but agree with the feeling that the TVs could be bigger. I didn't realize for a while that there were two boards and missed out on playing 5/10nl as I wasn't aware there was a game. By the time I figured it out (by asking the main board operator), I had already decided to donk up the donkament. The tournament seemed a bit unorganized as the main guy in charge didn't very well keep track of open seats. Example: when my table broke it was basically "follow me and we'll find you an open seat." of course it didn't help that I finished 2 out of the money with 140 runners. Haha.
after the tourney, I almost sat at 8-16 Omaha, but the game looked pretty nitty with at least one house player. Didn't wait too long for a 3/5nl seat as there were still three games at midnight. The 5/10nl game had broken by then.
My second bout with 3/5nl game started off slowly but I finished with a nice win after making some hands late and 4 betting AKs pre to take down a lot of dead money. My favorite hand was flopping the double gut with 65dd on the 842d flop and calling a pot sized bet. I was obv hoping the bettor had an overpaid or a set when the 7d peeled on the turn. He check called. The river was an offsuit three making my hand (7 card straight) still the nuts and now he fired into me and called a nice raise.
