Agree. I have gotten two free room offers, and it seems too far away. And this is from someone living in Tempe who took Fort McDowell up on their free room offer. Maybe if Pecos went through.

I'm going to be in Flagstaff for 10 or 11 days in March. Googling suggests Twin Arrows is the closest room. Am I missing one?

Twin arrows is the closest. Call before going out to see if a game is going. 3-6 is most common. 2-100 spread runs occasionally. There's a tourney that goes on Thursday nights.
Cliff castle casino is 50 minutes south on I-17. It has more reliable games.

Yeah Twin Arrows is the closest, 1-2-100 on weekends, there has been some tlk of getting a 3-5-500 game going in the next couple of weeks.

Went to Ft McDowell over the weekend and they have a $100 aced cracked promotion going on all the time. No big deal, pretty standard. However, I soon learned that for those that show up early, I think it was the first 15 people of the day, the aces cracked bonus for them is $300, all day long!!. Until midnight, I believe, every single day.

It seems to me this is a big plus EV situation, is it not? It's a 4/8 game, so with the rake it's hard to beat, I grant you, but if you can play 17 hours a day, in theory, with a $300 aced cracked jackpot, that seems like a very profitable situation, even if you don't actually beat the game.

I am missing something here?

I doubt it is as profitable as you think, but definitely greater for those 15 people than anyone else.

Do notice that, unless they lowered it back recently, rake is higher than anywhere else in the area, they take $7 total out of every pot, and chopping the blinds to avoid the rake is not allowed.

Just a few things I noticed that aren't on the spreadsheet...
3-6 runs at both Bucky's Yavapai and Cliff Castle Casino.
Bucky's has a 2-10 spread limit game.
Cliff Castle Casino has 8 tables, not 7.

Thank you, the spreadsheet has been updated with that information.

Tempe itself is very fun, not too expensive. Mesa is close and cheaper, just like parts of Phoenix.

Latest raids in Arizona on private social poker clubs. I know the threads are now locked in reference to this topic but felt it was at least of some benefit to share the latest.

Apparently these raids came only after the rooms were asked to comply with some specific gaming laws, and they chose not to comply to any of them.

I know it's been a long discussed back and forth in here and perhaps this isn't even a relevant topic anymore, so apologies if this post is an unnecessary one and should be moved or deleted altogether.

I have a couple suggestions for the spreadsheet:

Vee Quiva runs 3-6 hold 'em and 4-8 hold 'em regularly, but I don't think they spread 2-4 unless it is in the early morning (I know wild horse used to have an early morning 2-4 game so maybe). They also spread 6-12 hold 'em during busier evenings so I would give that a yellow check. I never see omaha or any other game going there.

Fort McDowell only runs 4-8 hold 'em these days I believe. Because all their promotions are geared towards hold 'em, I don't believe there has been an omaha game there in quite a while.

The last time I was at Cliff Castle, a few months ago, they had a 2-8 spread limit hold 'em game and a 3-500 spread limit hold 'em game. I went back the next night and they had the same games going. (This was a Friday and Saturday).

Talking Stick doesn't spread 6-12 hold 'em anymore, but they do have a 20-40 OE mix and a 6-12 OE mix.

Thank you for the report, CrazyLond. I've made the following changes to the spreadsheet.

Post any additions and corrections here guys and I'll do my best to keep the sheet updated since it seems its creator, Palimax, is no longer with us.

Changes made 7/11/14:

Vee Quiva: removed 2/4. yellow check 6/12.
Fort McDowell: all but 4/8 removed. They don't run a higher mix game once a week anymore? Can anyone confirm or deny?
Talking Stick: 6-12 holdem removed. 20-40 OE added. 6-12 OE added.
Blue Water: REMOVED

I'm going to hold off posing more info on Cliff Castle until we can get some information from someone that frequents the place.

Every time I look at Bravo, I only see 4/8 run. I haven't been up there in years, but the higher mix games have never been advertised as running...

Ft McDowell used to have a 20-40 OE game two days a week (with occasional other days), and I played in it often, but it was killed off by Talking Stick spreading the game, starting maybe 6 months ago.

That's pretty much what I had figured. Thanks for confirming.

If anyone has any real info regarding poker at Twin Arrows casino resort up in Flagstaff (not stuff from their website that never tells you anything legitimate) please post it up in here.
