Simple. If you withdraw amount that require ID, and you provide it, they will file CTR (Currency Transaction Reports) on you and file them with FinCEN, as required by law. Maybe you get quietly and secretly investigated, though I doubt it. Then nothing else happens.

If you try to hide it, it is also simple. They will notice, and begin to file SAR (Suspicious Activity Reports) on you, as required by law. They don't care what it looks like, only that they are required to do it or face substantial penalties. Then you will probably also be secretly investigated, and if they find anything worth bringing you in for, they can do so, and lean on you for having committed structuring violations. Enjoy.

Im curious what rooms allow unlimited raises in a spread game when multiway.

this being AZ speccific, i understood that the raise limit (and max bet) was mandated by state gaming compact, not sure how they get around that.

Yes, they do. Don't remember what it is, but it's ordinary spread limit, other than the number of raises apparently (which I was unaware of despite playing there), but I don't remember the specific limits.

Del Sol has recently changed the buy-in caps for the spread limit games - now they are:

1-2 blind 300 max buy
1-3 blind 500 max buy
2-5 blind 1500 max buy
5-10 blind 3k max buy

The per bet limit is 680,no limit on number of raises per round.

5-10 SL has been rare of late, but we got it going last night. The 2-5 games are running most days.

How did they come up with $680 max bet? I thought the law in AZ was $500 max.

I am really curious about this as well.

I've never heard a clear explanation - one of the floors said it has something to do with the limits on various table games but I really don't know. Just glad to go with it

The other good thing is they are giving us time @ 7 per dealer change in the 5-10 rather than rake.

Wow, haven't played there in awhile, but they never had 2/5 when I played.

How long is a down, 20 or 30 minutes?

Normally 30minutes. But Thursday night they were changing the dealer shift around midnight, and one down they changed our dealer after15min or so. The floor gave us a walk on that time

I know there are complaints about room management in any room, but at CDS they really are trying to take care of and grow the 2-5/5-10 game.

If you get the Poker Atlas app you can see what games are running and you can sign up on line via the app.

Who do I have to blow over at Talking Stick to have them make the 5-500 game a must move? I'm so sick and tired to see when they have 4-5 tables going and several of them are several players short of a full game, some even 6-handed.

Wow! Some even 6 handed?! How terrible. You’ve been on twoplustwo for 11 years and are still afraid to play live 2/5 short handed?

There was no mention of fear. I find a full game more profitable.

It's a bit of a drive for me, but I'm thinking of making the trip on Saturdays every once in awhile. When do the games get going on Saturdays?

Anytime after 8 am should have multiple 2/3 games going and 6+ tables typically around noon and later from my experience going on saturdays

The "bigger" games usually start early afternoon. 1-2 earlier, sometimes 1-3 also.

Ive been interested in trying plo does normal plo go here? Is hi low a lot different? I’ve played normal plo but never high low

It’s spread limit so usually 500 any time, but to answer the more important question, yes. PLO and plo8/bigo are completely different games... probably about as different as two games with the same mechanics can possibly be.

You really think they are going to manage 5 chained must moves with the lists? And then lose money by making them timed games?

Friday is your best bet - games usually run all night. That has been true on Thursdays as well recently. Saturday it's spotty in terms of late action - depends on who's showed up.

Ha, I don't plan to be one of those Friday night fish that's wiped out from working all week and then driving a couple hours to get there.

Nice try, though.

Hello all. I’m thinking of moving to Arizona this fall. I’m not moving for poker but I play a couple of times a week on average. Can someone please let me know the max buy in on the 5-500 game at talking stick? Also the rake please.
