Mainly concerned with trying to make sure there's a deep player pool so the game continues to run as opposed to worrying about alerting competent players of its existence. This likely will be better for long term value even if it's potentially sacrificing some immediate short term value.

Realistically any super crushers who i simply would not want to play with will likely be frying bigger fish at q/q or 50/50 at talking stick, or playing in big private games anyway. (Not suggesting you wouldn't fit that criteria, but I don't think I've ever sat a low stakes plo game where there's been a player who I've thought ya I don't want any of that smoke).

Fair enough, I thought about that last night after I posted my comment, that keeping a game going for more than a few weeks would be a good reason to advertise it.

Yep. The reason low/mistakes plo doesn't run at TS is because the floors were lazy/incompetent and refused to start the game early. On What happened is players like me simply stopped showing up because we ONLY want to play plo. Everyone knows even if there's like 10 people on the 5/5 list it's not going to run so they won't waste their time driving there only for the game to not go. At this point I won't even consider going unless the games already started because of the precedent they set.

If players have confidence the games is always going to go and run for most of the night it will continue to grow. Get a large enough base for the 1/2 game then they can run 5/5 and players can move up and down the stakes in a smoother fashion which means a better plo ecosystem.

Yes I did...Got there at 2 and the game started a bit after 2:30. Judging by table talk you came into the 6 seat around 4:30 to 5 and I was in the 5 seat and left at 5:30.

If I don't have any afternoon meetings on Friday, I'll likely try to do that from time to time, come at 2 and leave around 5:30. Help keep the game going until the evening crew gets in.

I'm sure your buddy in the 4 seat had some choice words for my nittiness after I left.

I am a limit hold'em player by trade and hate NL due to its slowness. PLO is somehow less slow than NL, so I can stand it, plus I have no idea how to play well and I know it, so I play a style that attempts to keep me out of trouble.

Ya that was me I came after work and got there around 5 ish and was indeed the 6 seat. Game got short from like 530-7 then got real good again from then on when some fun players showed up later.

Judging from the line up when I got there it was definitely way worse than it'd been in the previous weeks. My guess is because the 200k gtd was running at the same time that a bunch of players were playing that first. Appreciate the help in getting the game off the ground, from talking to the people that play they are pretty happy to have a regular plo game.
