"Trust me, I've done a lot of walking to and from Aria and nothing is close when you're going to or leaving that place."

FWIW, The shortcut to the Monte Carlo food court is about 5 minutes (from Aria poker room) if you walk like the Hojo. Done it many times.

Best of Luck,

Paying $10+/night for Wifi is one of my pet peeves when staying in Vegas. But that is the standard for any decent strip hotel.

Definitely can't hold the poker room management accountable for not having free Wifi in the poker room. MGM isn't going to put wifi in the poker room for a couple nitty poker players when the guests at every one of their properties is forking over $10+/night.

I would bet that most players online wish that their sessions were kept private.
I think he was just suggesting posting what games are running, not anyone's results. I think it's a great idea, it's so simple but it would be groundbreaking in the industry. Obv posting live players results online would be ridiculous, but I don't that was his point.

Mike,

One of the reasons I do not post our game board online is because we respect the 2+2 community and the rules. I believe this would be a violation of direct advertisement. If I am wrong please let me know and we will re-evaluate.

Thanks,

Tom,

I am working on them today and tomorrow. They are done, I just have to put them into a document format and post them on our website and Facebook page.

How often do you expect 1/2 PLO to run during the Series? Is it a 1/2/5 structure like at the Venetian, or just regular 1/2?

Also, will there be any PLO8?

But this would also be a mistake, you want the people to have to come to the casino, why would you ever want them to be able to get on their cell phone go to a web page and see that the game they want to play is not offered or the list is long, now they go to the next casino, they don't offer this service so you must come in, the same game has a list but there is another game going you might as well play as you wait.
I call now anyway, this would save time to both me and the casino (having to pick up the phone).

Campfire,

I would expect the 1-2 PLO to run on the weekends. We designed this game to be an introductory limit to PLO. The buy-in is $100-$200. Our 2-5 PLO runs almost everyday. This is our main PLO in the room. The buy-in is 200-1500 and it is not 1-2-5. We have also been having 5-10, 10-25, and 25-50 PLO.

Noob,

I love low limit mixed games! This is what I like to play when I find the time to sit down at a table for a while. I really, really, really want to make a push to spread these games. They are fun and they also expose players to the different games. This time of year is perfect to get this started. I would love to see all of the dealers from across the way to come over and play. I am also going to send out an email to all of my Shift Managers and Floor Supervisors to get the mixed games playing. When you come over to our room please ask for me personally and I will get a game started. If I am not here have the Shift Manager call me and I will get it done.

I'm sure he wasn't suggesting it get posted on 2+2 but on your own site, much like Borgata apparently does.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I will get with my media department and see if we can create a section that the Poker Room can control for posting our games on the web site. I like the idea. However, this is a very touchy subject. I just dont know if they will give us the authority to do this. We are taking huge steps by Kat and Myself coming on here in an open forum for discussion. Also, I really appreciate the respect and openess we have received.

Thank you,

Adam

Adam or Kat,

Would you be able to answer campfirewest's second question? I am also interested in live PLO8 cash.

Thanks in advance.

We are currently spreading O/8b at the 9-18 limit. This usually starts at 6pm everyday. We will spread any limit you would like to play. Same as the mixed game comment, please come see me personally and I will do my best to start any game you would like to play. I will be in the office just about everyday until July 17th. I am accessible and here for you.

Your being open to the idea is encouraging. I expected my post to be ignored completely.

To make my original comment clear, yes, I did not mean to divulge individual results only the board that is available anyway. Besides, people have so little faith in online results being accurate. How in the world could anyone track live results!

Also, I think the argument about not posting the board to generate foot traffic is a stretch, at best. This would be similar to a movie theater not offering showtimes online because they want people to come by and perhaps watch a movie that originally would not have interested them.

Personally, I feel calling Bellagio to see if a particular game is running is highly inefficient. It is cumbersome on myself and the manager to run through the list. There is also the great chance of human error or misinformation. Perhaps I think too confidently of the idea, but I think an online board would be received well by the poker community. Transparency is good.

Any update on this change in buy in? I checked the Aria website earlier and it still said $100+$20. I hope it stays lower, particularly in the afternoon to keep the field bigger.

Thanks!

Paystation,

We changed the buy-in today to $175 and we got 89 players. We have also updated our website. Thanks for letting us know and thank you to everyone that played today. I also understand that some people may have wanted the tournament to stay at $120. We kept our 7pm at $120 for this reason. Now people have a choice.

Thank you again,

Adam

Just a word of compliment to you and everyone else for running a good room, and for posting in this forum. I was out there for a week about a month ago, stayed at Aria, played there several nights (2-5NL and PLO), and was very favorably impressed with the room and all staff. I have generally played at the V. in the past, but I think your room is at least as well run. I'll be back.
