The poker room at circus circus, mirage or harrahs has a much higher standard of excellence. Hahahah

Do they ever get 5-10 going anymore? I wonder why.
I checked Bravo and they have 5-10 going on right now and Wednesday at 4:30 pm isn't exactly the busiest time of the week.

You sound like you're holding some type of grudge against people working in the room. Personally, I think the room is great. Sometimes the room does so well compared to other rooms in Vegas that it's actually a little too busy for me.

Where are you getting this idea that the room is doing a lot worse because the people working there are rude? It sounds like you just made that up.

I also think its ironic that you're so upset about people being rude because if your behavior was anything like your behavior in this thread, then the people working there were probably a lot more polite than you were.

All of my experiences with Aria's poker room range from "exceptional" at best to "cordial and fair" at worst. I've seen the staff treat rude players better than I'd treat rude players.

You shouldn't poop all over a room just because there isn't a perpetual 5-10 table when there's always 2-5 tables with a higher-than-Bellagio buy in limit. You can slum it at 2-5 while playing candy crush until your interest fills like everyone else. I've seen pros do this.

You win points for trolling, though.

Is there any way to check poker food comps online? They still never expire right?

Poker comps are separate from mlife tier points and as far as I'm aware, there's no way to check your balance without talking to the staff. I believe this is true for all of the mlife properties, and poker comps specific to each poker room. For example, you cannot use your poker comps at Aria to get food at Bellagio.

I've never had my Aria comps expire. I've never consumed any of my Bellagio comps yet, as hard as that may be to believe considering they go back nearly a decade, but I inquire with the manager about once a year, and yes, they are all still available for use.

I have found the Las Vegas poker comp offerings to be quite generous when compared with the poker rooms across the rest of the country.

Just a quick thank-you to Kat Paculan and the rest of the poker room staff at Aria. I was in Las Vegas for a couple of days earlier this week, and found the room to be as well-run as ever. Floors are friendly, helpful, and competent. Games were smooth, well-dealt, and problem-free.
Aria also is the room in LV if you want PLO (ranging from 1/3 to 25/50 and sometimes higher). The 2/5 PLO game (with $10 "rock" straddle, so really a 5/10 PLO) is a great game, IMO.
Kat may not log on here, but she is still there, answers her phone and emails, and is very helpful (poker rate and late check-out).
My only problem with Aria is that it is now so popular that the lists get really long in the afternoon, so I suggest that you go early or late (or call in).

Aria need to raise the buyin of there tournaments so there isn't over 100+ runners when they only have 24 tables. Make it $250 and then the list won't be so long.

Can anyone else confirm this?

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...-aria-1501971/

I'll be staying at Vdara this weekend and was planning on playing at Aria, but may look elsewhere if that's truly the dynamic of the 1/3 games.

Thanks.

I think you should check out the games yourself. You should be able to find a table you like.

I have never seen 1-2 or 1-3 games that deep if the buy in is capped. Guessing it may be CES fish. You need to know what conventions are in town and a pretty good idea of the clientele expected for these events.

I was there on Christmas weekend in 2011 and won about $1400 in the 1-2 games at Mirage, Venetian, and MGM.

I've never seen a 1/3 game like that there. That actually sounds like the best game ever though. I wonder if he confused any of the 1/3 games for 2/5 because the games he describes sound so unlikely.

Chopped 1st 2nd at the 1pm daily $125 yesterday. Super lucky run at the end after the bubble burst I was 15th in chips out of 15.

Is there an Aria poker series?

Was in Vegas a couple weeks ago, and played quite a bit of 1/3 at Aria..there was a nosebleed game going on in the Ivey room for like 4 days straight, with an Asian guy who can "do whatever he wants in any MGM resort".

Anybody have any more info? Was pretty fascinating..

Any word on dates for another WPT500 event during this year's WSOP?

Do they spread PLO8 here during the series? I'll be there around June 4 thru 7th. Thanks!

WPT500 will be in July. The guarantee will be doubled to $2 mirrion. My GUESS is that it will be around July 4-9 at the Aria ballroom instead of the smaller poker area.

Can you only show 1 card to win a hand or you need to show both?

From my experience there, you must show both unless all other players muck and you have the last live hand. Then you don't need to show so showing one card is more than enough.

I will be playing some PLO while in Vegas for the series. Last year this room got way too crowded. Where do people go for good PLO if Rio/Aria aren't available.

They do run 1/2 PLO daily, I haven't seen 1/3 PLO running anytime recently.
