Most of the dealers are pretty good about reminding players, but plenty of players still refuse to mask up. Their "loophole" is that they have a drink or food sitting nearby, so they think that entitles them to go without a mask the whole time they're at the table, and some are bragging about not getting the vaccine. Floor people just laugh about it, and won't enforce it. And tonight, even the poker room supervisor wasn't even wearing his mask (I went to the desk 3 times, and he wasn't wearing it any of those times). I know Aria got fined last year during the first round of restrictions, and I don't doubt that they will again. There are plenty of other poker rooms in town that are adhering to state law, so I guess I'll be taking a break from Aria.
The masks are worthless anyways unless they enforce an n-95 mask. You just have an illusion of safety. WTF are you doing in Vegas anyways if you are worried about covid? Let the people enjoy their life.
I'd be cool for a mask mandate if they actually mandated a N-95 mask, but at this point it's just a face covering, and the whole thing is a circus.
