Pretty dumb, yeah. But you only hit so many 200k scores in your day, you know?

If you made such a big score, why would you take it in cash? I'm sure they can wire it to your bank account.

To be able to flash it at the 40/80 regs, LDO. It's like whipping out your big schlong to show the boys your prowess... but not nearly as ghey. LOL

Actually I do think it's about as gay as that.

I took a near-10k payout in cash once. It didn't much occur to me at the time that I had other options (although it's fairly obvious now that I do).

so if there are 40/80 regs, its safe to assume the 20/40 and 40/80 games are still healthy?

Since your article is from 2009, I'm still going with the "it was a joke" angle.

I missed that the OP was a joke to the roll flashing. I googled "tied up arizona" and that's what came up.

I called a few casinos in the Phoenix area and I learned of the spread limit rule in Arizona. Can someone explain further? Also from what I can tell there is no PLO to be found in Phoenix, correct?

Spead limit is simply a cap on the max you can bet or raise.

In the 2/3 game with a 300 buy-in, the max bet you can make on a street is 300, and if someone wants to raise, they can then raise it to 600. Like limit, each round of betting has a max of 4 bets allowed.

There is also a 3/5 game with a 1000 max buy-in where the betting limit is 500, which is the max.

They have been experimenting with 2/3 and 3/5 spread limit Omaha hi, so it is the same exact rules as above, except for Omaha. So it isn't Pot Limit per say.

played the 2/3 SL Omaha [we should call it SOL] and think I am right that it needs a cap or a betting limit. It's too tempting to end the hand early with a jam and that deprives the new players of an easy win.

Pope, any tips for a 1/2 PLO grinder online for preparing to jump into casino arizona on the low stakes NL or if they are running the live PLO games? I have little experience live.

There is a good chance I stop by this weekend. I would like to blend in and obviously not let it be known that I have a respectable win rate online. Also, do you have a group of guys in the area that ever get together and talk strategy?

Thanks,

Omni

When you get to the table announce your online win rate and no one will ever believe its true. Oh and be sure to stare people down in small pots so they know you aren't afraid of live poker.

Is the poker room side garage closed for a while or was it a one time thing?

You can't get in through the access road tho, you have to go through the side parking lot, towards the garage. There's an garage entrance on the basement floor that's open.

Until the construction is done it's easier to use the Indian Bend garage.

I still doubt that exists.

And even if it does, it can't be closer to the poker room.

heh. After winding my way thru the parking lot to get to the Dobson garage I've decided that using the other one is easier.
